The open world in this game is the best for me. In Days Gone, even if it's a post apocalypse, it feel more alive than many open world game out there. - we can see group of deer chased by Freak (unscripted) - we can see Breaker killing freaks (unscripted) - we can see Rager fighting a pack of Runner (unscripted) - we can see Marauder or hostile human group fighting Freak (unscripted) - we can save civilian from Freak, from Marauder, from Reaper (unscripted) - Horde (unscripted) - we got ambushed by sniper (unscripted) - we step into trap and got captured (unscripted) - each camp with their unique policy - each location or area is distinctive enough from each other So this is not just driving around kind of game with nothing interesting happening. But there's so many unscripted event you can choose to dealt with or ignore it completely
I never get bored of this game... or i nearly did cus I already completed all locations so i had like nothing to do anymore other than just riding around and kills some freaks and bandits but now when NG+ is here u can have so much fun with all of ur equipment saved and u can do side missions again
Whats the zombie sitch like? I'm a fan of like slow zombie games but fast ones free me tf out haha, like the night ones in Dying Light, that's basically where my playthrough stopped because I couldn't actually get passed them!
at first I hated this game because of the setup(zombie in an open world game and I love open world game) maybe because I got used to the setup of RE6, RE2Remake and RE3Remake and LoU. And I thought the main character Deacon will be boring but Man I bought it last 2020 year end sale and it is a blast. I love roaming with my bike even though it becomes boring sometimes because the map felt so empty with only freakers, wolves and deer but love the game and Deacon is a nice guy and a good brother to Bozeman. Lost Lake is my favorite camp.
UE engine doesn't have a good name among laymen, so it never ceases to amaze me how the old PS4 with HDD in UE sovereignly handles this open world with bombastic vistas.
The only thing i hated about this game was the wolves. They were so god damn annoying. I cant tell you how many times i got jumpscared by a wolf attacking me while i was refilling my bike.
The reason I didn't get this is because there is no pack dynamic. It's just another wander around by yourself game. This gameplay really showcases how boring this game truly is.
Lol a pack dynamic will never work for Deacon. And would really downgrade the vibe of surviving on your own. One thing they could've done was introducing co op. Beating a horde with a friend would be cool. But they couldn't do it coz of lack of resources. Sony gave less shit about this. Well who's making money now huh, especially with the pc port.
@@murtazarizvi368 plus genre wise it wouldn't make sense at all. It's an all man for himself kind of world, the reason why there so many drifters surviving.
@Mr. Anonymous Is that how the game works? Sounds pretty cool imo, I'm sick of zombies just being "feral cannibals", they gotta have some nature to them, so if that's the case it's a nice change of pace
