I remember getting my PS5 2 years ago and I saw this game at a shelf brand new never hearing about it in the slightest but I decided to buy it and see what it was like and I ended up playing the hell out of it and it genuinely never failed to impress me that I decided to grab the game's platinum, but after that, I simply wanted more and I ended up grabbing every single DLC trophy alongside it as well. I'm so glad I discovered this game and thanks for reminding me of this game and the memories I made alongside it. Really hope Sony would green light a sequel
If Days Gone taught us anything it’s to not listen to gaming critics cause they ruined the name of Days Gone and the fans had to resurrect it to Sony who based on the critics said they wouldn’t make a sequel pretty early on after release. I’m hoping the fans changed their minds cause it’s a great game.
The only people to blame is Sony, when the game came out it was an insane bugfest, so I understand how it's hard to fairly review a game when you struggle to get it to work properly again and again. And that was just purely Sony's fault as well with their ridiculous deadlines, leading to crunch etc..
@@ludos1963I disagree, I played the game preorder edition, had barely any bug at all for me and I reached platinum on it in mere days( played the sht out of it). The only problem was the story in the first 10h of the game was kind of meh, once you reach hordes and stuff it gets so freaking awesome...
Least we who played it know it deserved it. So many wrote this game off till they played it themselves. I really love this game too. Cheers to Bend studio. Hope they push for it later in the pipeline.
This is a great platinum to get, i also 100% it as well. So glad you credited Boris in your description. Too many people put content out claiming that they found a strat or untouchable place when they've ripped it off someone else.
Im from Washington, which is more or less the same landscape. Copelands camp area reminded me so much of where i grew up in a valley in the cascade mountains. Now i live 30 miles away from there and the town i live in is alot more like the lost lake area. Of course if you just go to the east side of the cascades it looks more like the hot springs area.
Definitly one of my most liked platinums, Just after ghost of tsushima and Spiderman, the idea of the game was great, loved it. Of course, there are things that could have been done better, there is always smth, so i hope we get a second game some time tbh
i still remember running into my first horde, it was soo difficult to beat and instantly liked it, and than the story just kept getting better and better and loved it so much i got platinum. i still play the surviver modes once in a while, 9.7-10
Unfortunately, due to bad marketing and poor critical reviews most of the sales came years after when people realized it was actually a really damn good game
This game and Dayz are my all time favorite apocalypse games. The world and atmosphere of Days Gone is beautiful and well detailed. The destroyed roads, camps, towns, derailed trains, quarantine zones. It looks and feels like an apocalypse. You can see how things fell and how quickly it did and see stories in the camps and quarantine zones. For the very same reasons is why I love the Livonia map for Dayz, just so well detailed and you can see the story of the apocalypse especially in places like the livonia bunker and Radinun which has a huge medical zone with mass graves just like days gone. If only you could put them together. Having the survival aspects, gunplay, inventory system, and multiplayer aspect of Dayz but the location, and graphics of Days Gone. While having the sheer amount of Guns from both games
Didn't get the Plat but just completed the story and was amazing. Some of the game annoyed me but the story was incredible. Respect for grinding the game🎉
Such a fun game. Loved the PNW set pieces. And being part of an OMC is awesome, definitely one of the most relatable characters I have played in a video game.
absolutely loved this game. i got it on release on ps4 and it was nearly unplayable. but they updated and fixed it daily and it became so amazing. my only complaint is the random events/side missions were all the same. i hope thats something they really work on if another ever releases
I waited for this to be released for what seemed like forever and was as excited as I could possibly get for a game at the time. Then when it was actually released, I didn't give it a fair go at all. Played for about an hour or two and gave up because I hated the idea of having to top up my fuel. Then last year I gave it another go. Needless to say I felt like an absolute prick because this game is great. From the way the bike feels, to the gun play and not to mention the fun of dealing with the Hordes (definitely needed to be bigger ones tbh). This Platinum is well worth going for.
You indeed are a prick. The fuel system was so fuckin good in this game. Made you consider whether it was worth going to that spot that is further away.
I played the is game in 2021-2022 and enjoyed it so much I decided to start playing it this again last week and I just finished it for the 2nd time today and got platinum with it. Can’t believe people hate on this game it’s the 2nd best zombie game ever created right behind dying light imo.
I enjoyed clearing out the massive swarms most in Days. The gameplay is simple and translates to a game that is simple to enjoy as an interactive story on your first playthrough without being sidetracked too often with unnecessary fluff. Better than average for sure and well worth a play. The challenge mode ranges from mad easy to maddeningly frustrating. Good times lol
Its not underrated it was trash on release story was mid but i liked it after they fixed it nobody was playing anymore also they sold it as this zombies game with giant hordes but that only happens once in the game same place where the trailer happens on this saw mill place RIP
i’ve been playing video games my entire life. I started with a hand me down Atari. My mother and I used to play Blades of Steel on the NES. I enjoyed this game so much that I got my first ever Platinum trophy playing it just this past year. Sony, we want our Sequel!
Dont normally go for games like this (zombie/undead type). But my best friend told me to get TLOU and that made me more openminded. Saw gameplays of this game (especially with THAT horde) and thought to myself "hell no, i aint never playing that" lol. Then one day i decided to just try sth id normally never play and man, what a game it is. Just sooo much fun. Not saying ill enjoy every game (no shit lol) but it did prove the point of being more openminded and trying things, just like when i tried persona 5 (turn based game) and absolutely loved it. Its sad to think this most likely wont get a sequel cuz of just how much fun it is.
I love that literally every single form of media depicting zombies fight so damn hard to name them something different. Like I'm not calling them freakers. Most of us don't. We just ignore it. 😂
Absolutely love this game and I’m glad I get to play it again from time to time, I’m so bummed that there’s going be no sequel to this incredible game :( I guess it’s like Detroit Become Human where you don’t know what happens next but you can just imagine it, danm ☹️
Sad this game won't get a sequel. I legit think it's a good game and really interesting. The hordes were a legit challenge and fun cause of the tension and the bike building was a really cool thing to me
I noticed that the drifting while using nitro for 5 seconds can be completed with level 1 nitro just very difficult I wanted to see if it was possible but yes it was difficult but possible and can be completed on a mountain in the hot springs because of the lack of objects in the way
The game is unique good, but i hated how often stuck doing the same tasks over and over again, resulting in a repetitive gameplay loop. Love the horde (finally game where its intense to encounter) and story goes by!
I've completed Sifu and God of War Valhalla DLC so those 2 videos will be coming next. After that I plan on hopefully doing Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer and I've also just started Shadow of the Colossus as well 👀
@@jtplays1 that's great, you should also buy The Walking Dead Telltale Series it's a great game so emotional one of the best stories I've ever played and also it probably has the easiest platinum from all story games because you just need to finish whole series and that's it. Do you also have in plan to do Red Dead Redemption 2, it's pretty hard, but the game is great.
@@emiromeragic5170 I've actually already played thru the walking dead definitive edition on my xbox and it's the only game I have 100% on xbox bc it's so easy 🤣 very good game tho. One day I might play it again on PS. I definitely do wanna plat red dead 2 but again I've played it on xbox so when I'm ready to for the platinum I'll do it but there's other games I wanna do first probably.
I hate Zombie games. The genre is always dry as a bone, but from what I can see here the writing is fairly decent, and each character feels like a person. I'm sold lol.
@@schwarzparker1 I’ve recently got a new console so I’m having to start again. Not a problem especially as I know what’s needed to complete the achievements and obtain the trophies
This game was soo mutch fun when it came out story was a bit silly and the game was super bugy but the game was a lot of fun especially the dlc mini game thay added
Bro, I pre-ordered and played it on release, I got platinum and all in 4 or 5 days or so, had only one bug on the big horde in mill, they would not spawn, I reloaded, all worked out and that was it, no idea why people say it was buggy or whatever, I feel like people searched for bugs and filled the internet with it, no way I would get only one bug in a "full of bugs game". I do admit the 10h or so of story are sht but after that first part it gets so good, and killing hordes was the most fun I had in any zombie game ever. It was easy but terrifying in the same time, the sounds, the amount of zombies...peak perfection. I love this game and played it like 7 times so far. It's amazing
Thanks for the video! And for others please read my story and u buy it. I played alot of zombie games, So I started it on survival 2 the hardest possible dificulty. Where do I begin? Where do I end? Why did I started loving Sarah. Why did I go to the battlefield and not stay at home? Why did some friends turn on me? Why did I walk inside the appartement without caution? Why did I fight with wolves a war? Why did I love my bike? Why did I miss my brother playing this game? So many why's..... This game did everything right story wise and mechanic game play. U can kill hundreds of zombies but if u dont plan your moves u die just by 1. There are caves, checkpoints, buildings and even zones that have cults and it feels like PVP wilderness. The bike not only gives u transportation but also fun riding and u can use it as a weapon. The people in the game u grow to love them. Also if u dont watch out with fuel u run out and so many times I went of hill with a empty fuel tank just ditching it and running away. Your survival will be tested in this game the moment u get out of base. Also watchout for kidnappers and ambushes in the world of days gone, everyone and everything can be dangerous. Tip if u buy it. Watchout on the road take it slow, Have a spare fueltank always in mind. Dont aggro hordes or go in the night if u aint prepared. Doingside objectives is rewarding no need to rush trust me u will regret it. When u get the message that u cant return then go back and finish side objectives. Being there for the family will be rewarding..... 🥰🥰🥰😃
i wish i could finish this but the PC version is so buggy that the finale play area wouldnt load so i would just fall through the map and into the void
days gone was my game of the year when it came out. I almost didn't play it because of rating, sure glad i didn't listen to them. they are actually talking about making 2, I don't know the details, but there has been some talks.
This game deserved the treatement The Last of Us part 1 got it is so emotional it deserves a sequel (PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THE GUY THAT WROTE THE LAST OF US PART 2!!!!?!?!?)
Solid video. I would suggest practicing your script more before recording. Possibly editing it more. You over rely on things like “then” or “so” as well as many sentences starting with “and.”
I didn't mind the game for the first half but I feel like it turns into such a boring gameplay loop and having to do the entire 2nd area bored me to death. I feel like it was twice as long as it needed to be. And yes before anyone asks, I plated the game pretty much week 1.
