Days in the life as a school counselor 

I just feel so relaxed seeing you work. It’s like you get to be yourself as a counselor. I might be wrong but at other jobs, it’s this constant façade to put on. But here just a natural soft. I still haven’t met the sassy but looking forward to it

Hi there! I wanted to share some things with you. I am a previous counselor for at risk youth and have since been in finance and real estate. I am 50 in three months. I have subbed and liked working with the kids again but not teaching if that makes sense. I like guidance and helping kids with goals and futures. I did this for 15 years but on another level. I know I need to go back and get my certs and degrees in this. Is this something you can see for a person when done will be about 52? I dont look or act any different than my peers but I don't want to waste time either. I feel a calling and have felt this since 09 but I got hurt and medically I had to switch gears. SC gives free grants or tuition to someone trying to get in the education system which is the only reason I am looking I am just starting this. My daughter is now a freshman and I have a 24 year old. I think this would also help them to see me doing this. I have a huge love of learning and pretty much always in school or licenses. I am a mortgage broker and realtor. talk about stressful. lol. thank you for your time.

8:19 I've had that happen to me. I get frustrated I'm like Lord I need to sleep haha. Then I or read a bible chapter or some verses and feel instantly safe.

Do you have to have a Masters degree to do what you do?

I iverheard you were in GA. I am also. I was thinking of this career path. What would i need ? I have a B.S. in English and a associates degree in Communications.
