I’ve always enjoyed all kinds of art even if I’m not the best at it. I’ve been very interested in ceramic art so much more than usual. Your channel has made me want to start doing some more ceramics! Hi Lolita :) love your work, thanks for sharing your ceramic journey with us. So you let the mugs dry (bone dry), then sponge them, and glaze them the day after? I never know how long I have to wait to paint them after the sponge. Thank you!! xxx

If your glazing green ware I wouldn’t necessarily go off the time (for example if the weather is hot and dry the piece could be ready to glaze a few hours after sponging, but if it’s damp and cold it may take a few days to glaze after sponging) i go off how the piece feels. You don’t want it to be cold - that means it’s not fully dry. You want it to be room temp in your hands and feel fully dry.

I love all of your mugs! I've been following along for quite a while and I'm so happy to see how well your business is going 😍 I have one question though about the process; do you only work with underglaze after you sponged the pieces and fire one single time? (I started doing pottery half a year ago as a hobby so I'm a total newbie and the question might be very random but I thought you would have to bisque fire, then glaze, then fire again) 😂🤍

thank you 🥹 so it’s different every time. Sometimes I bisque fire & sometimes I single fire. It really depends on what I’m making and the deadline I have. I personally haven’t noticed a difference between single firing and doing a bisque. When I bisque it is usually because the piece is a pre-order or a custom order and the designs I am painting on these will each take me around an hour to do. Bisqued pieces are less fragile and there is nothing more frustrating then having spent an hour glazing something for my cat or me to carelessly nock it over and break it hahaha. And I use a mix of underglazes and glaze on my pieces xx
