My Mum did her best to bring me and my 3 older brothers up on her own, with a heart condition, and depression, we were all in children's homes for a while.
I remember how I would spend all of my time during the summer out on my own, armed with a spoon and a little bucket digging for treasure.

Days like these take me back in time, to childhood memories when I was yours and you were mine.
I'd spend my hours diggin' for that pot of gold, I longed to see you smile, kept bringing you my treasure home.
Those long days of summer sun gave me solice gave me peace when you were not strong enough when your arms just could not reach.
So the rays from the sun wrapped warmth around me, when you could not be there when you were lost in misery.
But I don't blame you, you did the best you could do and I will never know how you survived and made it through.
