Finally someone is making sense. I love of mice & men but without shayley they're going to collapse. :'c and I had such higher expectations for dayshell considering shayley is a fucking god.
Aubrey Drozda Of Mice & Men isn't going to collapse without Shayley. He's a damn good vocalist, I will give him that, but Aaron is a good vocalist too. Just because Shay left doesn't mean they'll collapse. They are still stronger than ever.
I agree. They're not going to collapse. They seem to be doing better, mainstream-wise. They're on the radio now. But that's the thing. With Aaron, they achieved that "radio friendly" sound and I'm not particularly fond of that.
Aw this song is great! Smh to the haters. Shayley wants to do his own thing, and his new band is great. I think this song is a great followup to When You Can't Sleep At Night :)

you do realize that using the lowly comments section on youtube does not affect ones point of view on another band…. avenged sevenfold doesn't give a shit about what you think about them in a dayshell comment section, nor would dayshell give a rats ass if you posted hates on them, in an A7X video… the comments section is where you post compliments, or dislikes on THAT SPECIFIC VIDEO. personally this is a lyrically well put together song, thats all I WANTED to say, but seeing what other people thought, meant jack shit because everyone was bickering about who's better…. grow up, all of you.
Shay never disapoints. This album has its ups and downs but there isn't a single bad song. This is one of his best works in my oppinion. And this is my favorite song on the album
Made To Break Official There is no note to hit when he performs live. it all sounds like garbage. The Studio recording is amazing, but some bands like DayShell should just stick to studio recording because they can't do anything live.
In that interview with austin and allan and when Austin (or allan correct me if im wrong and) said if i had shays voice i would not be in this band.. Well thats kinda ironic lmao

I tend to disagree, Knowing their genre. Therefore it being an acoustic doesn't mean there's no need for screaming. What im trying to say is that it doesn't ruin the song. It fits perfectly. For if Dayshell thought it ruined the song do you think they would even play it or upload it to youtube.?
This song is hard to listen to. It reminds me of my first girlfriend in high school. She moved away and I never saw her physically again. God damn I hate nostalgia sometimes. It’s just too painful.
I'm the furthest thing from a hardcore kid. But the om&m debut is my favourite metalcore album. When Shayley quit I thought that was the end. These 2 Dayshell albums show you exactly how important he was to that sound. Hell yeah dude.
Pretty sad the of mice and men fans don't know that shayley sand their "favorite" songs. More like Austin carlile fans if you asked me, it not like shayley sang live or even in the music videos or anything
Shayley didn't help write their first album. Shayley came into Of Mice & Men 2 days before they were going into the studio. Everything Shayley sang in their first album was already written. That's why Shayley has two songs in The Flood because he wanted to be able to produce his own music since he didn't get to in the first album and as a group, Of Mice & Men let him.
Guys, a lot of Dayshell music is gonna sound a lot like OM&M... Because Shayley helped write the only 2 OM&M albums currently available. The bands havent had time to stray from each other, because OM&M is still playing stuff influenced by Shayley. :)
Of Mice & Men: When You Can't Sleep At Night DayShell: When You Fall Asleep Tonight. Two completely different songs, obviously. I just think it's an interesting coincidence.
The same thing happens with OM&M's "The Flood". "When You Can't Sleep At Night" isn't listed there, but it is on the actual CD. Also, on the booklet the lyrics are faded.
