Love this build, it coming along reallly well. In Oklahoma you have to hav permits and signage showing you are hauling possible exploding tanks of welding gas on the trucks. Secure the heck out of that stuff.
It sounds like a In-line 671 Detroit. 6+1 Eaton trans. Yes Cory some of those air dryer do that. Good looking N model Ford. That brake valve is hard to get to. Back in 1974 I made a stubby wrench for the air line to that valve. I still have that wrench today. As long as you do not lay those tanks down you can transport them safely. If you lay them down it becomes a hazard. Then they must have caps. I like your channel. When I was young my wife worked right by my side just like Hanna. She helped me rebuild an inframe job on a 8v71 Detroit and she was pregnant. She out worked two men and she was a tinny little thing. I have a 1966 c50 flat bed dump. I have to do the brakes on the next go round. I hope you all made it ok.
Heh heh, what a cool old Ferd! Back in the 1990's, I used to drive one of these with a 534 cu. in. V8 gasser. It would literally pass everything but a gas station.🤣 About 3-4 mpg. pulling a 35ft. flatbed.😲It originally had a 4 bbl. Holley with a built-in governor, which we replaced with an adapter and an Edelbrock 4 bbl. and the mileage immediately jumped to 8 mpg. and ran so much better!😉 The one we had was a N.M./Arizona truck all of it's life and was pretty much rust-free. Someone had taken the time to do a really nice paint job on it.. a 2 tone red and white, and the interior was bone stock and perfect! It had a 5 speed and a 2 speed axle, which was geared just right for the big old gas burner under the hood. Some Mexican truck collector spied it when were in El Paso one day after dropping a load of scrap metal and offered us twice what we paid for it, and my boss sold it the next day!😄
Just wanted to let you know that as well as all of y’all’s awesome builds y’all have also built an awesome channel. Always look forward to your next video. Keep up the amazing work!!!
It's really entertaining to see the huge amount of work y'all get done on the truck in every video. Ain't scared of getting your hands dirty, grinding and working into the night. Mad props to you two.
I don’t know what Hanna charges for her labor, but it’s not near enough. Hanna you are a treasure to Cory. You two are my favorite videos. ❤ 😊 THANKS !
Great job on all the detail work getting the Welding Rod ready for Daytona. Happy you are getting to go and lots of prayers for a safe trip there and back🙏Prayers that the truck runs well with no issues. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving and enjoy the ride🥰
This build is wicked good seeing how your partnership build bond is sensational we get a lot of chuckles along the way. Good luck with your trip hopefully smooth sailing in the minty ride have a blast at the event .
What a journey! As I am sure you both felt ... 2 steps forward and 3 steps back... but you both figured out how to get it moving in the right direction... safe travels.
Hey Cory/Hannah. Thanks again for letting us view your projects. Cory. You scare me a little. In one of your camera shots, I noticed a caged parking brake. Your parking brake will not work with the caging tool compressing the spring. I was glad to see you put on an air dryer. Just a note. You want to have a slight downward slope from the compressor to the dryer. So any moisture in the line doesn’t freeze up when it sits. Also leaking out the exhaust port. 90 percent of the time it is a bad brake chamber. More specifically service and park brake chamber. They are suppose to be separate from park to service, but sometimes they develope a leak between the two. Remove the service line from the chamber. Block the wheels of corse. Release the park brake. See if you have air coming from the port you just removed. If so, replace the chamber or piggy back. Be careful to get the correct size. The other thing could be a quick release valve that is hanging up. Or a stuck exhaust port further down the line. Good luck!
Truck looks awsome guys , you both work hard to create some awsome vehicles. Love seeing the dogs in the school bus , buckwheat seems to love it , and I'm sure mini wheat doas too . Keep up the good work , respect from the uk 👍👍👍👍
Watching Cory try grippo’s for the first time, he takes a few bites , looks at the bag and then grabs the ski, his eyes told the story…. “Grippo’s ain’t no joke” if you’re ever back in Evansville and you see them in the box , buy them … they are a lot more spicier :) great video guys and thanks for content!!!
In the trucking industry, those mirrors are known as West Coast mirrors, you can find them a lot at the time at truckstops in the truckstop stores and they are expensive there but sometimes you can find them there. You used to be able to anyway nowadays who knows haven’t been in a truckstop for years, just thought I’d mention that
Hey Hi again Corey and Hannah from the D Michigan 😁 thanks for sharing another great video update and congrats on the progress 🎉 of the Interford 😅 but looks great 👍 and have a great trip 💖⚡✌️
Cory you need to put the safety caps on those torch bottles. Anytime you transport them from your cart or anywhere. And I hope Hannah put some weight in that can so it doesn’t blow out of the holder. Ya’ll need to think about safety first when transporting stuff
In addition to DOT concerns, your personal well being is at stake. The way I understand it, one fitting broken off can cause a bomb like explosion, and the other makes it a bottle rocket and flys thru the air.
I'm praying and my fingers are crossed but not at the same time 😊 I have an old 89 F250 I get nervous driving it 80 miles to Nashville and back. I would be sweating going that far and something you built With really no seat time in it so far😅 As a truck driver forced to take hazmat test The guys are right you need to put those safety caps On your acetylene bottles
I'll follow along 😜 simply because I like the truck 🚛. Just started watching your content an find it very entertaining 😂. Good luck on your trip 👍 guys 🎉.
Even if you take it as is, people will dig it. I still say paint the bumper and grill white. Probably the wheels, too, unless you're gonna put on some pretty chrome wheels.
Awesome truck, Hope you have a safe trip, but for God's sake remove the torch regulators along with your Argon bottle regulator and install the transport caps. Several have commented on the torches but the welder tank also needs capped. If you have already left for Daytona I am sure there will be several gas suppliers along route where you can get some. Enjoy watching your channel but you really need follow some safety practices.
Hey guys! Love watching you two work together! Hannah I know it's a silly question, but what brand of boots do you wear? Safe travels in FL... have fun!
Yeah a crowd.... When I was there in late 2016, I was told every Polar Express trip was booked a year in advance, and some were booked for the second year out.... I love French Lick/West Baden/Spring Valley/ Paoli. I have GOT to get back over there soon for a weekend or day trip.
Cory is that a Mc Donald’s table you got in your kitchen, you’ll make the trip no worry’s,I run around in my pick 6.0 all the time with the same amount of tool you got in Hanahas welding truck cause I’m forever fixed shit for everyone I meet,me putting on good cloths are covered in grease with in 2 min.any way I love helping people and that’s how I roll much like ur self😂,Dan and Shelley ,Sask.Canada❤
I know I’m not the safest person but have you ever seen an oxygen bottle fall and the valve get broken off, I would hate to see either one of you get hurt. It’s all ways better to put the cap on any bottle before moving them . ❤ you guys and Happy Thanksgiving to all !
