DayZ Namalsk Lantia Sandstorm Event w/ Golden Flow Controller

As far as the Namalsk dev has said, there will be no further large updates to the map, so as far as I understand no there is no way to survive the sandstorm & there is no “goal” beyond getting there. As far as I see it, you go to Lantia in order to get the Gauss rifle, M4 or the AUG, and the enzyme pen for invisibility to AI back on Namalsk. Having a powered suit with the built in nightvision, the huge damage protection and lots of stamina, with an M4/AUG/Gauss and the enzyme pen active is basically putting you in godmode when you go back to Namalsk island. As far as I see it, the sandstorm is just a cool experience to do in game and obviously takes hours and hours to get to there and it’s like a cool bragging right/thing you can say you’ve done. A lot of people can’t even make it to A3 without a suit let alone build a suit and everything else required to make it to Lantia and do the sandstorm. If you don’t want to die there, you can jump into the orb the entire time. If you jump in it within the first 2 minutes you’ll end up back in A3 - if you jump in between 2 minutes and when it disappears around 6.5-7 minutes, you just get thrown in a random place on the map, I’ve been put on the ice mostly but once was put near vorkuta.

Has anyone tried to take refuge in the research station on Lantia to hide from the sandstorm? Seems like the sandstorm won't be in there right? And I'm curious if you could log out in the sandstorm and log back in after say 15 min. Would you then be able to explore Lantia further?

I explored outside of this centre area in a camera mode, theres nothing more to loot and this area has a invisible wall holding players from escaping.

Yes, I was stuck there for 45 minutes actually. You could remain there as long as you have food and water to stay alive. When you go around looting in Lantia, new loot respawns as you go around, so there’s basically infinite batteries and O2 tanks if you do a loop

Yes thats what I do. Find the gold piece and go back. Then you gotta wait 15 minutes to hit the button again (just wont let you activate if you dont wait) and timer starts as soon as the portal opens

No, with only the NAC card and Pulsar Locator it’s only about 60 seconds long, with the “regular” flow controller it’s extended to around 2 minutes, and with the golden flow controller that you find within Lantia itself that one makes it 8 minutes however the portal disappears at 7 mins 30 seconds so you must leave by then. So to use that you have to go to Lantia to get it, leave, then make another event to go again with that part installed

@@GAMERxBURRITO789 When the orb disappears, you are stuck there, and will die within 30 seconds

Surge module + access card lets you initiate your own "storm" just like the random ones that hit the map. Yes you can go without the flow controller but you have the shortest time there (I believe only 30 or 45 seconds to go back to A3 but about 2 minutes total which will send you back to mainland or the ice after the initial timer)

The surge module only works from A2 right?

@@Moondust219 Surge module you use with a keycard while in A3 to force an EVR storm to start. I don't really see any point in using that module unless you have friends outside of A3 that want to come to A3 so you could start a storm, they hit the button in A2, then come to the A1 orb to get to A3, but otherwise seems useless

Yes, the space suit is just a part of namalsk

@@nohandelneeded You have to build it using 5 separate parts all together you find around the map.

Allows you to explore Lantia without the NAC Suit (gas mask and regular clothes) for 30 seconds, tested it myself

@@FracturedGoblin I saw! Test if it hides you from animals and whether the EVR storm effects you and temperature!. Very very cool!

The oxynated blood injector is useful for eating but comes with a cost, it knocks off 20 hp.

You can only survive in the circular platform in the center with the orb above you without the suit - if you walk out on the catwalk without the suit you will die in 5-10 seconds

Sometime middle platform, sometimes down the left side catwalk, take a left at intersection, then right at the T, and its on that platform

If you go with the golden flow controller (like I did in the video) and have the sandstorm event like this, you will die if you don't jump after about 7 minutes. Portal disappears and you suffocate. If you go without using the golden controller and the portal disappears, you can stay there as long as you want as long as you have food and water and you can't leave until someone makes a portal

When you go to Lantia it triggers an soundtrack that only plays here, its part of the music!

I'm not sure, will have to look up the Namalsk soundtrack list

If you go to Lantia without using any flow controller, you can stay there. The orb will disappear after 1.5-2 minutes and then you’ll be fine, however you can’t get back out until somebody in A3 activates Lantia again. I spent an hour there
