@@nietzscheb1188 yes also a good move! I also get the big Military Truck running. Park it in a well hidden spot and i ruin all the tires and remove the battery and destroy the fuel tank so it cant be driven. Then its a big storage bin.

Someone commented that it's better to build a base in the forest than a 10 gated building. I said, in vanilla servers, almost every base I found/raided in forest, I simply jumped over the walls with a watchtower, vehicle, or human ladder.

100% true. even if they have barbed wire all around the fence tops, you can still jump through where two fences meet, get cut but you drop in no worries. I'm solo so always built a tower, absolutely trivial to break in. Forest is great for invisible stashes, but these one or two fence protected visible bases are always toast.

Terrible base spot due to being literally next to world border, traffic area.

Playing this game I have never thought of myself a hero or villain, neither a victim or perpetrator, and that is why after 5k+ hours I still enjoy playing DayZ. I've raided big mega bases against big clans, stolen small hidden stashes in rivers and buried deep in the forests. I've been in 6-8 hour sieges defending my base and eventually being wiped out. I've raided many bases and died many times in the attempt. I have KOSed players and I've chatted with some.I won some, I lost many. I don't blame DayZ players for playing the game (I only blame cheaters and hackers). Good hunting!

Last time we raided by boosting, it took 30 minutes to go over. Haven't developed that skill yet.

I'm situated in Asia. I do prefer community vanilla. I play mainly on low ping servers, hehe. I play on SG official servers but you will encounter the hackers of course. Philippine run servers are RP + modded. Australian servers if I want to PVP. Japan servers are solo player's playground. The one I want to recommend is down right now, the Indonesian admin is adding new mods.

If I recall correctly, this is a Japan community server. These guys like building bases in the forest or simply just making stashes. JPN exgarden server.
