Absolutely love the live shows...think they did 4 in total...1 and 3 are the best...if you get chance check out an almost 10 minutes ad lib blooper from the first live show...Rik totally looses it big time...didnt think they would ever get back to the script!!! Cheers for the laughs Daz

The ‘Stephen Fry’ remark was a reference to a play that both Rik and Stephen starred in called ‘Cell Mates’, which the second half of that stage show was a parody of. Halfway through production, Stephen had a complete nervous breakdown and just fled without telling anyone, which he later confessed was because he was suffering from severe depression and bi-polar disorder and was even considering suicide as well. Now obviously, we don’t think Rik and Ade knew that at the time, because I don’t think they would have made the joke if they were aware that that was how Stephen was feeling.

Tervetuloa! More Bottom to come very soon on the channel. Question, how did you find this in Finland? I lived there for a few years and never once saw Bottom on the TV. Did watch a lot of Munamies though lol.

I met Rik at his book signing at Waterstones, I think around 2005 maybe 🤔- he was hilarious. Very funny. Got book signed and had a picture with him also. I got to see Bottom 4-5 live, was brilliant. Also yes, drop dead fred, great watch

Hi , bragging a bit i know but I actually got to see the 4th and 5th shows Live. I find them better than the series sometimes. I always remember one show was after the dvd came out, someone in the audience started feeding Rik and Ade their lines when they slipped up. The young ones is good but sometimes can be a bit too weird. There is also the dangerous brothers which is one of their earlier ones. Loved the reaction

Really Jake, bragging "a bit"??? Thats bragging a lot lol. I would love to have watched this live. I grew up watching Bottom and loved these two together. To see this live with the mess ups between them would have been a very memorable one. Kind of jealous right now lol. The Young Ones never appealed to me but The Dangerous Brothers is new to me. Will have to try and find it.

Hey man, I just watched this and really enjoyed it! If you haven’t seen it already you should definitely watch “Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson Break Character” (or “Bottom Live Bloopers Part 2”) as it has the absolute best one from these live shows in it, definitely must-see!

Honestly, I think ‘The Young Ones’ is not as good as people think it is. I like surreal comedy, but I felt ‘The Young Ones’ just went too far int eh weirdness, the acting, particularly from Rik and Ade, is a bit too over the top and annoying and Alexie Sayle is just irritating.

I never really watched any of The Young Ones. When I met my wife she told me that I should but never got round to it. I do love Bottom though and these two as a pairing. I just think they are brilliant together.

Random suggestion but maybe watch either Jim Davidson's Sinderella or Jim Davidson's Boobs in the Woods.. Both are adult pantos and i love them both haha :D You mentioned pantos and wanted to share :)
