Between pop culture and context clues, I somehow understood about 65% of Ricter's thing. I think I've also watched and rewatched all of Qerpline way too damn much
Weirdly, it's less of a deep cut for LRRfolk specifically because Graham did a thing about Un Chien Andalou when it turned up in a Watch and Play game, flexin that filmmaker's education. I think it's been referenced in a LRL as well. LRR sure love referencin' that eyegore
@@bethlucystabhatesterfs4786 Apologies, I thought it was a Watch and Play because the game was... so bad... but it's actually from Let's NOPE: Steam Pileup with Heather and Graham. The game "The Piano" references Un Chien Andalou and Graham goes off at it ?v=Epm9lIhsY0U
My favorite detail in this is playing 'Nobody Speak' instrumental in the background when Derek is in the 'escape room' which I assume is Canadian Parliament. :-D
The whole time that Derek was in the 'Ukrainian Parliament' I couldn't stop saying to myself "That's the UK parliament" and wondering if they just chose the first image of a parliament they could find... Aside from that this was bussing excellent!
as a Ukrainian myself I apreciate the amount of preparation they put into this joke (the mace (which is called "Bulawa"), the national anthem), even though the image looks nothing like the parliament (which is called "Verkhovna Rada"). I wonder if they did some research on the topic or if someone (Alex?) already had some knowledge in that area...
@@DTBootlegs thats not at all what I've gleaned. As i Understand it the season is done and whats holding it up now is waiting for featherweight to animate the whole thing.
