I'm so happy to see that I'm not the only one that feels an inmense nostalgia from this video, this is one of the first videos I ever saw and I remember every scene vividly, thanks youtube for bringing me back
This is something that BeamNG can't achieve: Actually breaking the car. I mean that in BeamNG, the cars only deform and get their parts separated, not broken. For example, if you crash a car in BeamNG, the fender will crumple, it won't break into other individual pieces. I feel sooo nostalgic right now... This must have been the 3rd, or so video I've ever seen... And I'm still mind blown...
YES YES YES! EXACTLY my recollection of this video! I remember being amazed and _dreaming_ of a game that'd run this level of damage in real time..... and now we have BeamNG! I look forward to better damage and physics in racing and driving games in the future as hardware and software progress further.
That's not crazy at all, Rigs of Rods had Beamng-like crashes the year this video was posted. Thank Gabe Fink for that BeamNG exists. He made all the structures for BeamNG and it's predecessor Rigs of Rods
Ozzo Ruuska I did the same except I typed “car crashing games” and I didn’t even type it at first, I was just a young toddler so I asked my dad “can I see car crashing games” and usually the result I got was those old gta 4 car crash videos by insanegaz. Such good memory’s.
bro same it’s unbelievable. i was already on a nostalgia trip watching phun car crashes. then i saw this in recommended. bro as soon as the video started i remember every second of it
I was just browsing BeamNG videos when the algorithm decided to take me on a trip down Memory Lane. This is probably one of the first RU-vid videos I ever watched, back when I was 10 years old. Its still to this day the first thing that comes to mind whenever I hear 009 Sound System - Dreamscape
FINALLY FOUND THIS, been trying to remember this video for ages! Honestly in many regards this still looks better than BeamNG, which still doesn’t have nearly as many small parts that can break off, or body parts breaking into smaller pieces.
I remember seeing this in 2010, on my old imac. I would always wait 5 minutes to watch just the beginning in HD because I thought that HD at the time was amazing, same goes for the graphics. RU-vid has come a long way, and many of the users today wont remember this song being used i almost every video XD.
2019, i remember constantly watching this and trying to figure out where the driver was at all times. Didnt really pay attention to the crashes. Just the driver lmao
it really shows how untuned many of this generation are with the rest of the internet when on every animation of a car crash almost every single comment is eather thinking its a videogame or trying to compare it to rigs of rods or beamNG...
For some reason my friend decided to show me this video back in 2009 and still, even today, this stuff blows me away. Also this video was the first time I had heard dreamscape, so whenever I hear or think about dreamscape, I come back to this video :)
What I enjoy with this compared to BeamNG, is that you can also see the individual interior parts flying, while in BeamNG that's mostly one whole part of the body
this should be what all car games are like, its fun, cool, smart and itll actually show you what'll happen if you speed in real life and crash. cool vid
FINALLY I FOUND IT IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR LIKE 3 YEARS NOW Its 5:27am 7/16/23, pulling an all nighter, and i just came across the thought of trying to find an old jeep render video with its suspension, but also i was looking for this. Now to find the first thing i was looking for 😭 Also, hi future me!
I watched this shit when I was like 5 on my grandmas pc. Now I’m sitting here on my phone watching this video whilst playing beamNg drive. I cannot believe how time flies
It was so satisfying to watch this back in the day, Now even a Mac can do those graphics in real time. There's to much nostalgia in here tho. Good old days
This video has been in the back of my mind for the past 7 or so years and I couldn’t for the life of me remember the name, today I did. Commence Nostalgia :)
I remembered watching this like 6 years ago and everyone in the comments were hating on the music. Oh boy how times have changed to where the nostalgia overrules the dislikes.
I used to watch this video on repeat back in 2012 and was amazed I was pretty young then and didn’t know what beamng was yet so this was pretty cool and I fell in love with the music and loved hearing it when I used to get on those ancient roblox games I used to play nostalgia
For a bit of a nostalgia trip after visiting my childhood home, I looked up "Phun car crash" (Something that, at the time, eased the bad thoughts as I used to call them, now knowing the actual term for it today) and this was top 3, I clicked it first, and by god the memory trip. Holy wow
