DBD on 1000 ping... why 

on surv it gives a disadvantage and on killer an advantage

You used to be able to see ping in the lobby. It did cause longer queue times but I would love to see it back. Same with the old ranking system. Doubt those things will ever return to DBD.

I remember them doing something in a PTB where if a killer's swing did not come anywhere close to hitting a survivor on the survivors screen, it would reject the hit. But I think it was scrapped.

​@@JakeobEi'm pretty sure that made it in? maybe in a less forgiving way but i've definitely had hits that connected, i heard and saw the down, but the survivor never actually went down. (i play customs against a Kiwi occasionally lmfao)

@@synniestar Yeah, hits can be dedicated, but ironically I think it's mostly people with good ping that get dedicated. People that I watch play have around 30 ping and get their hits dedicated here and there but then you see killers with 200+ ping and none of their hits get dedicated. When they talked about it they said they were making it so it favoured whoever had the better connection: if a killer had a bad connection the game would evaluate if the hit was valid or not, and thus if the hit only landed due to the killer's poor connection then it would be refunded. But when you watch that game against the Trickster you can see that's not actually true. He obviously has well over 200 ping and none of his hits should connect, yet they all do. The game is clearly and solely only favouring what *he* sees on his screen, and doesn't take at all into account what the survivors with good ping see or what the server detects. I've also sometimes watched content creators get hits and I was like "It's bs and it sure as hell shouldn't have hit," and I've also seen content creators react the same way to their own hits, so why does the game consider they're "legit hits" when even on the killer's screen it shouldn't have hit ? The game is just so poorly optimised... :(

Actually good catch ! If the game didn't crash, then the "content" would have actually been him wasting God pallet and going down anyway 😂

Probably they tried to pick up the survivor but the ping didn't let him actually pick them up. It sometimes happens.

I started playing dbd when they didn't have 'dedicated' servers, recently returned so i forgot that stuff like this can happen due to lag@@notyannz btw would be interesting if they made a perk that allows you to make fake pick up animations lmao

can also be the region u live in, im from brazil but i live far from the sao paulo server so my ping is normally 70 but can also be the console lag or both

Doesn't have to be the server, location or console... Are you playing on WiFi ? Never use WiFi to play any types of online games. WiFi is unstable as hell and you only get a fraction of your Internet connection. Always, *always* connect directly using an Ethernet cable with or without Powerline Adapters (depending on how close your modem is from your console.)

This was my first thought too. Never ever use wifi for gaming unless it's unavoidable. Ethernet will always be better.@@Libellulaire

@@1wakuralain yes but it was a pretty much guaranteed hit at that pallet if the killer played it differently, but he chose a much more risky way which had a high chance of the survivor just gaining loads of distance
