he loses. Broly's ki blasts are higher priority, probably one of the only ways to effectively break through (j)236S without going into RPS. Vegeta's best hopes are vanishing on reaction, or SD'ing Broly's ki blasts, effectively inviting himself into Broly's own RPS and praying he doesn't get 2H'd

He was pretty terrible last patch, I think he was literally bottom 5 for the last like 2-3 years

@@kennypar he was pretty bad. his neutral was not strong, 236H was his only saviour, 5S/j.S didn't hold enough of a threat to challenge, and old 236S rolled out the read carpet for an SD / ki invul lariat to put you in a 2 touch scenario, his combo variation was horrifically limited and it affected his damage, his 236L mix had a very slim set of characters that could make it jail for him, and SD 50/50 was (and still is) corner only thanks to how stubby his normals are, which in itself is another barrier against his neutral and footsies when the main meta revolves around huge e-sports buttons. 236S being cancellable into basically everything honestly fixed a lot of these. his neutral is now super strong because its Cooler's anti-meta neutral on steroids, his damage is high both thanks to new 236S routes as well as being able to convert off of practically anything now, 236L changes mean a new strong mix that he can do midscreen with around half the cast, his only real drawback now is how stubby his normals are and the fact his only *really* strong assist is C assist (A is still good, but a worse Janemba A)

@@platinum2263 even if jS/5S didn’t hold much of a threat, he still had the ability to keep opponents fullscreen because if they challenge they risk getting 214L into a TOD. and of course he still had the amazing 236H. people also sleep on the dive kick as a movement tool since it covers a pretty niche angle. i personally don’t think his neutral was bad in 1.31 and also don’t really think the 236s changes made his neutral a lot better. (it did help) 236s wasn’t ever meant to be used in neutral and served as a niche for active tag (usually into dragon rush). the changes they made to it were pretty amazing but it served a purpose before 1.32 combo wise, he was definitely towards the bottom but an optimized vegeta could still two touch pretty off of most scenarios. his 5MMM routes midscreen were still there and his corner routes weren’t terrible (especially if you could do the 5H rejump). damage is definitely his most improved tool this patch tho before the 1.32 patch, he had a corner mix with 236L that used float properties to give you a high or a low and worked with ~28f blockstun assists. he was also able to get a midscreen high low without niche assists by doing TK 236L and getting a high low with once again 28f of blockstun. there was also the classic j2H mixup but we know it requires blockstun assists. his mix ups are clearly a lot better midscreen but i don’t his mix in general was ever poor. his A assist remains as one of the best assists in the game but C was the better overall assist (cooldown made it unviable at the time) putting all this together, the only thing that stood out to me as bad was his damage and solo mix (still an issue) in my opinion

@@kennypar @kennypar how has 236S not changed his neutral, it literally means without a higher priority blast's that challenges the same angle (basically only Broly) you can't challenge him without going into RPS, and if you don't, you're taking massive chip, and if you challenge and get hit your either die or take 4-5k depending on the hit. That is absolutely *insane* for a neutral game, very few characters have that kind of fullscreen oppression 💀 His A assist is not one of the best in the game. it's still good, but serves a rather specific purpose. It's one of the best combo tools, I can agree on that, but that's not often super valuable, and in neutral and on block it holds inherent RPS. Janemba A is Vegeta A but tracking, and even it isn't one of the best in the game for the same reasons of basically having 0 value on block for most characters.

I don't think it's too broken when punishing superdash, but DP'ing in the corner and getting a TOD is really broken.

214L isn't a DP. It's just an anti-air.

All the "DP"s you're talking about that lead into TOD are anti airs, not true DPs. Gogeta blue, Tohan, SSJgeta, and A.Gohan all have the light version of their DP which is a frame 1 anti air, not frame 1 invulnaerable.

Comparing EX Rocket Kick with Vegito EX legs just because "they're lariets but vegeta's is faster" is the type of content that low level player are drawn to believe in. Comparing Vegeta's ki blast to Vegito's 236S is one of the most nonsensical things that i've ever heard. Comparing Vegito's 50/50 (that he can do solo and choose which side it'll end up) to Vegeta's 50/50 that needs specific assists and wasting half a bar to convert and without the option to choose a side... Those are just silly and shallow comparisons to create a hot topic to bait views from people that don't understand the game.

@@kelvinspencer9265 dude vegito only gets that mix off a level 3 and then also needs to waste a 4th bar vanishing to get the mix, plus he has no low 2l. Also vegitas same side/crossup mix is the exact same and doesn’t require assists or bar at all. His other mix doesn’t require any bar just an assist but it’s extremely good 50/50 mix. Combine this with his low 2l and his same side/crossup mix and he’s got way more and way better mix then vegito. Also his lariat goes full screen just like vegitos and is faster plus has less recovery so it’s true that it’s better. Hi ki blasts aren’t the same but they’re definitely better due to being way faster, him being able to convert off them from full screen without needing to vanish and get hella damage of them, them covering way more angles then vegitos and the fact the van special cancel them into anything he wants including a super fast dp that he can tod you off of. You sound like a low level player if you don’t understand how and why he’s better now or how and why these tools are better. They aren’t silly or shallow comparisons at all. You’re just ignorant and blindly ignoring why and how they’re better smh. Keep spouting nonsense though. You completely ignored everything he showed and said. The only thing better about vegito now is his 5m, 5L and assist that’s it.

You simply just repeated what was said in the video without checking any data on the moves or understanding what makes Vegito strong. The point isn't that "Vegeta isn't better now" what i'm saying is that Vegeta and Vegito aren't REMOTELY comparable. There's no reasoning in discussing something with a nobody. You don't understand this game, you don't understand Vegito, you don't understand Vegeta and you don't understand this game's meta, you're just blindly repeating something you saw in a youtube video without checking.

Vegeta gets way more mix solo without needing any of that shit. And he actually gets corner and midscreen mix with only needing an assist that’s it. And he gets 4 way mix not just left right due to him having a low 2l. And I was talking about his ki blasts needing to waste meter to convert. Also vegito ex legs are slower and have more recovery. His ki blastss while hood only go one way, he can’t special cancel them, he can’t convert full screen without vanishing, he can’t spam them in multiple ways at different angles and dp into a tod from them etc. Vegito is worse now end of story. And no I’m not just repeating shit and i do understand the game and both characters. You clearly don’t if you can’t understand the similarities and point of this video. You can use a projectile with higher priority if you have the option to

ki blast of a higher priority (Broly, Trunks or Jiren for example) beam if you have one will win but you have to guess because it will be slower, or try and move closer to make SD less reactable.

No because it’s his base form so it makes sense. It made 0 sense to have base vegeta be way better then freaking ss blue smh. Also base vegeta is still S tier so who cares
