No he didnt, Toppo litteraly says he could kill frieza but that would only disqualify him while he squeezes the hell out of his skull and forcing sheer agony onto frieza He held back so that freiza's energy wouldn't be completely destroyed Destruction energy can only destroy something that has energy less then the attack We know this because vegeta overpowers destruction energy with his own ki So logically we can come to the reasonable conclusion that if you launch an attack of Destruction energy but make sure the opponent's ki is higher then the enemy wont die but get massively hurt And this makes sense and contradicts litteraly nothing For example beerus destroying zamasu, it worked because beerus is much stronger then zamasu and didnt hold back on his attack

He didn't kill, he erased the existence. It's two different meaning right there, Hakai is meant for erase the individual's existence entirely, even Beerus told them that the power of Hakai could erase the existence from other timeline during Black Goku arc.

@sayonara bro toppo is false God and the hakai is false too. If toppo was real God, grand priest would not allow him to fight in only-mortals place. If the hakai was real, it would destroy frieza automatically. Also real hakai (the hakai of 12 gods) are a bit different from toppo's hakai. And yeah toppos hakai energy is not settled yet and is lower than the other gods. That's why his hakai is not real (by not real I mean weaker, not like the hakai that other gods have)

Calling it not a real hakai is like saying it is not hakai, not even 1% similar to a real hakai and that's not entirely true since Toppo release actual hakai energy though it is a weaker version of it, hence why Toppo is mentioned as a "hakai god in training" or "hakai god candidate". But yes I do agree (tho a bit reluctant) that Toppo is a false hakai god. Honestly, calling him a "hakai god in training" or "hakai god candidate" is more accurate.
