Hi...you have two ways to do this: use the insert with the Y cable (3 end tips) your compressor will be on singel channel in mixer.... or or use the send (output in mixer) and send the sygnal to input of compressor and conent out in compressor do the return in mixer (you must have two 1/4 jack cables) compressor will be given to all channels in mixer..you have send nr 1 and nr 2 for that...

Could you please guide how to connect Soundcraft efx12 Mixer, dbx 266 XS compressor and BBE 882i ? Use XLR cable or 1/4 "cable? Thank you very much !

what you need to do? record or play mix or go with band live..?play mix- DAW out(1/4) -mixer- out- XLR(or 1/4)to DBX . DBX out(1/4) to BBE( miaximizer is only with 1/4 in- out)-monitors....Maximizer is like EQ so always out to monitors ,if you go with band live is no DAW(here is your band)and chain like above.For recording if don't use compressor in mixer ,put DBX on input to mixer XLR (mic),guitar(1/4) and connect guitar or mic to DBX- mixer out to interface. If you use comp in mixer is unnecessary

My system includes: Asus Laptop => Creative Blaster Sound card => Soundcraft EFX12 Mixer (+ Lexicon MX400 & Shure Sm58/BLX24 Micro) => BBE 882I => 2 QSC CP12 Speakers and 2 Cerwin Vega CVX18S Subwoofers out from oux send of Mixer. I often sing karaoke (bolero / rumba) and listen to Pop, disco, dance. I want to highlight the microphone when I sing karaoke. so I bought DBX 266 xs compressor to connect with BBE 882I. Please help me how to connect these devices (XLR or 1/4 "). Thank you very much!

wow nice I understand that you play rather than recording.So you know I used to call to www.sweetwater.com ( love that store) engineers with the same XLR or 1/4.Answer was it does not make any difference. -That's what the engineer audio said.Weird but work for me....
