I remember my friend came to spend the night with me the day that episode came out. We were watching Naruto and when this scene happened, I just remember a tear coming down my face and my buddy completely lost it. Mind you we were just a couple of friends and never wanted to appear weak in front of the other.. But, that scene was absolutely incredible.
Reverse situation is so hype in the show, also cause it’s only used once, until Boruto, where it was sadly remixed and not as good, but the flute is incredible. And father and mother is so beautiful, it’s one of the saddest moments in the show, and samidare is also very beautiful as well. But when they played sadness and sorrow again after almost 500 episodes in Shippuden, that was incredible.
1:10:02 "This show is like half tragedy." Trust me, it's a lot more than half😭 Damn near every episode is focused on some sort of tragedy, and damn near every character is tragic. In my opinion, more than anything else, Naruto is first and foremost a series about despair, and learning how to move past it to find hope again. And I think Obito's theme encapsulates that message perfectly.
@@_Vagabond_Sourav yeah, One Piece also have a sad story (but not the most, tho), but, Naruto.... it's like 30% normal day, happiness and fun, 70% Literally Tragic, just like the title most of the ost
For those of us who love Naruto, every song is a story and a feeling. This has been the best recommendation that RU-vid has given me in ages. Thanks for reacting to One of the best OSTs of all time. 🧡
@@NoahBerzerkyou lucky asf man😭😭 might go bang my head on a wall and lose half my memory hopefully Naruto goes with it so I could rewatch it for the first time😭
I think Departure to the Front Lines and Shippuden are supposed to be songs that flow into each other/ have similar refrains for different moods and moments while keeping with a theme
Haha I think he means insightful to him, to see someone’s perspective without the context of the show. Cause yeah I definitely don’t claim to offer any insight from a musical creation perspective
They play for different kinds of scenes. The moment I always remember Gentle Hands playing at is when Gaara finally gets closure in the confirmation that he was loved. Father and Mother meanwhile play during sad moments. I can think of four different moments when it plays where characters that are either parental or big brother figures to another in the scene are talking about dying in some context, and speaking their last words and/or convictions for said other character to carry on in some capacity.
the show is basically about kid soldiers fighting for peace in a war ridden world, and it doesn't pull any punches when dealing with those themes, so the ost being like 30% uplifting and hopeful, and 70% tragic is very fitting
3:40 Martyr, this is Sasuke's number 1 theme song if ever you ever hear this tune with him on the scene it's a wrap. NO SPOILERS, this song debuted in the MOST epic moment in Naruto series history, all I gotta say is Sasuke wasn't playing.
Kimimaro theme actually almost made me cry, I havent heard it in over 10+ years.... P.S and OF COURSE RIGHT AFTER I COMMENT THIS SADNESS AND SORROWS PLAYS! *Cries a river*
Naruto to me feels like a love letter to Dragonball. The epic fight choreographies and all the inspiration it took from Dragonball but somehow it is still its very own thing. I love both ❤
@@Peace0155do you ever watched dragon ball? Don't talk without experience. One of the worst person that exist are those who listen to criticism and spread it without their own judge. Dragon ball is not shitty. Has more lacks and certain sentiments are bad written but is mostly with flaws. I'm not willing to list them
The memories. Oh my god, the memories are flooding back as I listen to these. Naruto was such a huge corner stone for me and I will always carry the lessons it taught me. I wish I could go back and experience it all over again.
Congrats on surviving that mammoth of music! It was fun to watch (And hum aggressively) along! Keeping an eye out for any other Naruto crumbs you drop 😂
Sadness and Sorrow remains the saddest OST I've ever heard in an anime, especially if related to the story. However in this video is missing one of my favorites: Despair. A gem! And also Shirohae. They deserved more than others to be included.
Have u ever heard guts theme from berserk? Won’t say it’s sadder cause that stuff is subjective but it’s definitely worth a listen, heartwrenching melancholy distilled into music.
A lot of the characters in Naruto literally have devastating backgrounds there’s moments where you’d even feel for the villains😭😭 it’s normal to like a villain in this show and it gets real emotional at some points if you actually like and follow the show new dub by the way🤝
I’d hoped to see some more Naruto stuff from you after the fights video. Your reactions always feel genuine. Hope to see even more Naruto from you. BTW, Senya is actually a theme for one of the characters, Itachi, who is Sasuke's older brother. You should also consider checking out “Prophet” and orochimaru’s theme.
So a few of the Naruto OST's do in fact tie into each other so sometimes they'll add OSTS to each other that can flow and connect smoothly with each other to fit the scene usually for example 1:56 to 3:39 "Kokuten" has a OST that connects well with it too depending on the scene and just how it sounds called "Hyouhaku" and sometimes they even combine them to make the OST mix called "Hyouhaku + Kokuten" which sounds AWESOME BTW and to add to the scene/song even more! P.S Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Xc7lUbWEbqY.html (and they do this quite alot in Naruto so yeah alot of them will sound similar but its just simply cause some OST'S can add even more to another. :) Enjoying the reaction! P.PS And yes "Heaven shaking event" as its called here is also used alot in Naruto so you probably have heard it a few times too thats why it sounds familiar. :) P.P.PS: Also I like calling "Hyouhaku + Kokuten" "Sasukes cowboy theme" lmao you will see why if you hear it :)
As a not so young guy with a lot of experience, I can tell you Naruto, Naruto Shippuden & Boruto OST are some of the best out there ever. Now there's a ton of other of incredible theme. Ronin sasuke's theme is great too, but man I would like you to react to Orochimaru & Hidan themes to see if you think those characters are good or evil... XD
"Shippuden is a Japanese term that is made up of two words-shippu and den. Shippu is a noun that translates to “swift, strong wind.” Meanwhile, den is also a noun that translates to “legends”, or “chronicles.” Together, Shippuden translates to Hurricane Legends or Hurricane Chronicles." :) I personally say its "Hurricane Chronicles" but both are right.
@@SoloRaiju Narutomaki is a type of kamaboko, or Japanese fish cake, that features a pink swirl in the center. Its name likely comes from the naturally occurring Naruto whirlpools located in the Naruto Strait between Shikoku and Awaji Island in Japan
Growing up listening to these soundtracks was the best thing ever and to this day i still listen to them because they are so heart warming and full of motivation, some even make me cry because i remember which scenes were used for the soundtrack. These soundtracks will forever be legendary. Its like each song has its own emotion in it and its amazing.
I will say though, you still have a lot of amazing songs to look forward to if you watch the show. Some of the best pieces of music were never officially released.
That starting quote is great. "If I missed your favorite... no I didn't" That's the kind of defiance/non defiance I need from the channels I watch. Subscribed
1:05:25 "this would make them feel so imposing" The build up to Pain, and the mystery around him, is what made his arc so epic. Once you finish it, it will never feel that epic again, because they mystery is gone. But that first time you get to it, wow. It feels supernatural.
"Man of the world", "Loneliness" and "Burial" hits the deepest for me . I feel burial tries to convey stages of grief. Beginning is deep sadness then the part he describes as "mysterious" i hear as outcries of denial and anger and the last part is acceptance and the need to go on.
Hello, what I like about Naruto's ost is that there's alot of hope throughtout the tracks. For exemple Sadness and Sorrow as alot of sadness in it, but it's sounds so peaceful and that makes the song more hopeful. Sad there's no "orochimaru theme", "sand dance", "colorful mist", "lonelyness (the other one)", "dusk", "sexy song", "reflexion", "danger", and so many others that I forgot right now. The soundtrack is even more diverse than this ^^
most people don't know that naruto isn't actually a shonen, it's an action drama, it's just branded as shonen, it could've been a seinen but it wasn't very dark and depressing in that way, also it followed a growing up generation so it changed in tone over the years from a story for kids to a story for adults (those same kids that grow up like me)
I watch alot of anime.. I can definitely say that Naruto have alot of banger ost than any other anime.. other might have 2-3 banger but in Naruto you a whole freaking album..
These OSTs evoke such strong emotions in me. I have the scenes to the music vividly in my mind, and tears come to my eyes... Music is such a powerful form of expression, wow.
Sadness and Sorrow is the OG "make you cry" song UGH I love the plucked instrument (shamisen) and the flute (shakuhachi) just kicks ass wherever it pops up, but this time it's kicking my ass :(
That description of Purge Goddess is so accurate. "What are we fighting the gods", "sounds like they're watching you and creeping up behind you and then they're gonna attack you."
I looked it up when i was a kid, Shippuden reads as Shi(tsu)-Pu(tsu)-Den. 'Shi' means 'fast', 'Pu' means wind, and 'Den' means legends or chronicles. Together it reads as "Hurricane Chronicles/Hurricane Legends." but thats just the literal translation. Naruto: Shippuden can be interpreted as "the swift growth of the legend of Naruto." pending how you translate/interpret it. had to look it up again for a good explanation though.
Yeah they make it so evil not only ost's whole anime is filled with light vs darkness.....evilness....thats why naruto is definitly not for kids........
Who put gentle hands and mother father back to back is asking me to cry river and then sadness and sorrow? All them sad scenes comes back and can't help it but cry. 🥲
It was very fun to listen to this with you! I've watched all of Naruto and I swear I can't remember these osts lol. Also I don't remember it being so sad either... I was a child back then so that probably explains.
