Goku’s influence was all he needed to attain the power he sought after for years. There’s a reason why Goku’s death affected everything and everyone for the worst.
"You hate the fact that you're powerless to stop me. That you're completely outmatched. Well imagine feeling the way you do now all of the time like the people of this planet do. Fools! How do you think my Master Gohan felt when you ganged up on him in the rain and _he_ had no way out? Well now it's _your_ turn. I hope you enjoy it." One of the coldest pre-ass kicking speeches ever.
I love how Trunks has gone through so much hell in his timeline that once he gets the strength to defeat the androids, he absolutely *slaughters* them with no dicking around or flexing of his muscles. He's just so _done_ and the androids have to go. As simple as that.
@@ataladin87 If Bulma wasn't kind, you really think Trunks would've ended up the way he did? No. Bulma is kind. She has her moments, and as a teenager she was far more self-centered and selfish, but she's always had a good heart deep down. She can just be really fiery at times.
Given how merciless Future 17 and Future 18 were, compared to the ones we know in the main timeline, they didn't deserve to beg for mercy after all the people they'd kill and all the destruction they wrought. It's why Trunks didn't give them that luxury. Just like he didn't give his version of Cell that luxury either when he showed up sometime after he'd kill 17 and 18.
Trunks is what people wanted Gohan to be: the super strong half saiyan that never stopped fighting and lived up to his potential. Imagine if he got the same powerups Gohan got through the years like on namek and the elder kai boost. He would be an ABSOLUTE problem.
He also one shots 18 in the manga and doesn’t even toy with them a little bit. Maybe a bit overkill, but I guess his pure rage took over now that he knew he could win
If Goku and Gohan has simply gone back into the Room of Spirit and Time for another day during the ten day wait for the Cell games instead of sulking around. Perfect cell would have been destroyed with little effort. But no, Goku had to have a fair fight and let Gohan fight too.
@@jasonjansen9831 That's what I hate about DB the most besides its lack of world building and its poorly thought out power scaling because Toriyama only thought the story out on a month by month release schedule with little planning. Is that the villain's only become real threats because of character induced stupidity and allowing them to power up.
@@LordMalice6d9 This is late, but Goku himself said that there would be no point in going back into the room of spirit and time because they'll just hurt themselves instead of getting stronger. And they've already mastered ssj1 at this point so they didn't have to go back.

Fools, how do you think my master Gohan felt when you ganged up on him in the rain, and HE had no way out? Well, now it's your turn...I hope you enjoy it!" *God, I love this line!*
"You can't defeat me. Not what I really am. Even if you destroy this body, someone stronger will take my place. And when that happens, not a single life will be left unaccounted for. NOT ONE!" Got it from his late master it seems.
This Trunks was incredible, what super turned him into is such a disappointment. His change in personality, even down to the new way he dresses just sucks lol..
iRazenrak ya I hate when people shit on super for the stupidest reasons like please at least bash on the things that needed work like bad writing at some points here and there but nah you guys wanna complain about shit like re used animation and shit like that even tho they have been doing that in z as well like stfu find something actually valid to complain about rather than hating on super cause it’s newer and makes you sound like a cool hipster news flash you’re not cool for bashing on a show just cause it’s new I love z more than super but I just hate when people bash on it for no reason
His final fight with Cell was good and all. But this fight is just better in my opinion. Trunks didn't have as much history with Cell, but here, he was fighting some very personal and real demons. After everything he went through, it's so satisfying to watch him effortlessly destroy these two androids that ruined his life.
I can't agree more. Future Trunks who has always been my favorite character after Goku, he inspired me as a kid how he looked up to his farther Vegeta although he grew up without him. It's not just how simply and respectful future Trunks was, it was how he long to meet and accept his farther no matter how cruel and cold hearted Vegeta was. It was so satisfying to see future Trunks taking these two androids out using overwhelming power as his farther would do because he got that from spending time with Vegeta and only a person like my ngg trunks would display what he have learned from his daddy 🤗. On the other hand, trunks was such an inciting character to me because I loved the way he carried himself especially the characters outfit (yellow tip brown high-top boots) (shaded gray sweat-pants) n (a all black tan-top) with the ultimate super Saiyan golden hair followed by those beautiful green super Saiyan eyes 👁️. Trunks is my idol 🙏
@@jasonalba5768 Yup, I like Trunks because he doesn't mess around. He stopped the Buu saga right in its tracks all on his own. Meanwhile, the canon timeline... 3 seperate new forms 1 Dragonball do over Fusion A spirit bomb All because the saiyans can't keep their fight boners in their pants. Trunks is damn efficient by comparison.
Agreed though Trunks and Cell are too characters bound together in many ways. The two time travellers who keep killing and fighting one another across different timelines.
Ma man’s a straight certified G. He doesn’t do some stupid monologue or stall, he gets right down to business. Short, simple, and EXACTLY to the point. Ya gotta respect that
Future trunks is my favorite. He's strong like Goku, but not as naive. He's Arrogant like Vegeta, but only to his enemies and still aware of his limits. He's caring and polite to everyone he holds dear. Gotta thank Future Bulma and Future Gohan for that. He's my favorite DBZ character
Trunks is my favorite character because of this fight. He's not a full blooded saiyan. Full blooded saiyans enjoy the thrill of the battle, and will purposefully draw fights out for their own amusement. What I love about Trunks is that because he's a saiyan - human hybrid, he has the power of a saiyan, but the thought process of a human being. He knows how much the androids have taken from the earth in his timeline, and he doesn't go there to waste time and play with his food. He straight up decimates both the androids and cell in a matter of minutes. Trunks wasn't there to play games, he's always serious, and knows when to get the job done. I mean hell, he made sure Buu wasn't even a threat on his own. Just goes to show how the saiyan hybrids have their advantages over full blooded saiyans. Damn shame Gohan still prefers to draw things out...
If this was a RPG Game: Trunks b4 going to past: LVL 40 Androids in his Timeline: LVL 60 Cell in his timeline: LVL 70 Trunks after trip to the past: LVL 100
In all of fictions lol. How many scenes can you find a male protagonist punching a pretty female villain in the face? Usually it's the other way around nowadays with feminism & stuffs
I think most people forget , Trunks is just a teenager here. Notice 17 kept calling him kid and boy. While he may have matured and did a year in the hyperbolic time chamber, he’s still just young man.
Go and watch the video called "Toni Rants " its on RU-vid and that guy is speaking facts about the DragonBall z community and the creators of DragonBall z. Trust me
@halo 2 fan That's a trap many have fallen into. Work of fiction tend to idealize the idea of someone changing for a loved one, but in the reality, it never happens. Nobody can hide who they are forever.
It's crazy to think that not only did Trunks kill Frieza and King Cold in the OG timeline....he also killed 17/18 and Cell in his timeline. Truly one of the best characters in this series.
Whats great about this scene is not just that Trunks essentially executed the Androids in 5 minutes, but that he had the power to kill them in 2 seconds, but he drew out the fight long enough to make it clear to 17 and 18 that they had no chance of winning. He not only wanted them to die, he wanted them to know what it was like to be helpless.
*Don't forget,* Future Trunks did a speed run of entire cell saga in one episode like it was a pest control. Jiren was lucky whis didn't train Future trunks.
Lol i love that 17 and 18 have personalities, like how 17 was speaking like a cowboy, and 17 likes clothes and boys, and how 17 is like comprende? Lol i love 17 and 18
You should check out the video called "Toni rants " its on RU-vid and that guy is speaking facts about the DragonBall z community and the creators of DragonBall z. Trust me
I don't think anyone has suffered more than Future Trunks. This guy gets almost no breaks at all. Forget Jiren, Vegeta ect. This guy has went through more crap than anyone I can think of. Born in a post apocalyptic world, his father killed, lost Gohan, who was his friend and mentor, actually gets killed by Cell and so on. And just when you think everything is going to get better after killing the androids and Cell, he has to face Dabura and Babidi. It's worse in the manga, since he apprenticed himself to Supreme Kai Shin, who ends up dying, and then he had to face not one, but two main villains. Goku Black and then Future Zamasu. His mother dies and then his entire timeline gets deleted. At least he has his girlfriend Future Mai, and he will get to see his mom again. Personally, I'm not really sure why he had to go back to another timeline. There's really no point. He should have just stayed in the present.
@@StarSoulHealingMe too. I agree wholeheartedly. In Kai android 18 was ranting on about some video game. In the funimation she said that 17 destroys everything she likes. That implies that maybe she's not as evil as 17.
It's almost a shame that Trunks is so pragmatic, he was strong enough he could have made that beat down last as long as he wanted, and it could have been really cathartic.
@@andrewengelman3544 I know nobody didn't say that it ain't a shame he did the right thing I didn't cause problems if I was causing problems I would have start cursing at you stop saying stuff that ain't true.
Kudos to the old man and his ability to land so many headshots and even one into the upper chest while being badly hurt. If the enemy would have been human he would have died 6 times. :D
