That was a really great song. Even when Bardock is dead, his spirit lives on in Goku (Kakarot) and later in Son Goku Jr. and on and on. The same goes for us humans, even when you die, your spirit lives on in someone else and has your gift.
What a beautiful and touching song that expresses Bardock’s prophecy about his son Kakarot. Goku was the Messiah of the Saiyans, the savior who would avenge them from the tyrant Frieza
May all those who had lost their homeland to conquering dictatorship, also have a Goku of their own to avenge them and find their home again, but especially for my Hong Kong. Let a real Goku be born to our Earth, and rid our world of our Friezas and Red Ribbon Army.
Ahhh Nostalgia. I used to hear this & many other db japanese songs 10-12 years ago, although i never understood the meaning of them but still loved them a lot. But today i today i understand them better thanks to watching Tokusatsu shows. And more than that, thanks to you for translating us the lyrics. Lovely.. ❤👍🏻
I'm crying manly tears, such a beautiful song. Farewell Bardock, you were an asshole of a Saiyan but you still tried to do something noble at the end when no one else would.
I recently went on my first date and had my first kiss. Turns out my date and I are both big Dragon Ball fans, and we bonded almost immediately after realizing this. I also bonded with one of my closest friends because of Dragon Ball. It's so crazy to think about my life without Dragon Ball. I can't thank you enough, Toriyama.
i know for keep very late but r.i.p akira-san (1955-1/3/2024) thanks for create the best shonen ever exist and probaly the most popular anime im the world, now the world is very sadness
Somewhere out there, in the galactic sea, brighter than all the stars, a light has come to be. It has begun a long, lonely journey and soon will arrive to shine above me. The darkness breaks apart with its hopeful gleam. The light nears, and I begin to recall a long lost dream. The hopes and dreams that transcend space and time. I can hear them now, like a bell's faraway chime. I see the light! Before we all were born, this light shined above the eternal dreams, and everlasting love within me. If we recount our stories in the stars, constellations of hope, as our timeless memoirs, then when we're gone, they'll continue to shine and bring the future hope, eternal and divine, the light that shone before all our births now stops, reaching its destination above the Earth. The light shines down illuminating our hearts to show us the truth, that we've been strong, right from the start! I feel the light! Before we all were born, this light shined above the eternal dreams, and everlasting love... The hopes and dreams that transcend space and time, I can hear them now, like a bell's faraway chime. I see the light! Before we all were born, this light shined above the eternal dreams, and everlasting love within you. 🎼🎵🎶☀️🌙⭐🗺️
I remember downloading this song years ago from Napster (showing my age lol) this had to be around 2001 because I think that's when Napster was launched. I was looking up db/z/gt music. American and the original Japanese. Even the Canadian and Mexican intros and whatnot. Being a huge fan of Vegeta and Bulma (together and separate, they were and always will be my favorite characters in the series) I typed them in one day to see what I would find. If you used Napster you remember it was really a guess when you downloaded something. I don't remember a "sample" button where you could see what the track was before you downloaded it. So sometimes there was alot of false advertising but there was also many other types of gems you'd find, sometimes off topic and sometimes on. One of the tracks listed was this song here minus the first minute and 12 seconds. "Journey of light" sung by Vegeta and Bulma. Am I right that the original Japanese voice actors for Bulma and Vegeta are the ones singing this song? Because that's pretty cool if that's the case. There was another song by them called "nazo nazo" I believe (another great song) I'm not a DBZ purist by any means, but I would consider myself a knowledgeable fanatic, especially of the first 53 episodes of ocean and the original Funimation dub (I think it was 53) TANGENT: (I actually prefer falconer's score to the ost, although I like Cha la head Cha la--the Mexican version was the first version I heard of this because I was such a huge fanatic of DBZ I'd get up early on Saturday morning to watch it on telemundo, and I don't speak or understand ANY Spanish, or Japanese for that matter. And the Mexican dub didn't have subtitles so it was pure visual context that kept me glued to the tv) :END OF TANGENT I don't consider myself a purist, but I definitely would like to have seen this in the American dubs, maybe it was and I just missed it. Because I know there's an English version by, age of wonder, But I prefer the original much much more. After discovering this song (I admit I took it for granted) I lost it over the years. I could never find it, that is until RU-vid. Honestly I didn't even know the English version existed until a couple years ago (nothing against age of wonder, just was kinda disappointed in it). Which brings me to the whole point of my life's story: I like these lyrics better than age of wonder's lyrics. And also this song brings me joy. Thank you for sticking with me.
@@philipg6579 I'm sorry I'm a year late. I never even got a notification. We are in the same boat with Kai, gt and the original show subbed and dubbed. Dragonball too, subbed and dubbed. But anyways. Super is okay. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. But I did love the Broly movie. I like how Vegeta is shown to be a good husband and father, but I hate how they dumbed down Goku. I mean he was always kinda dumb, being basically a Japanese country bumpkin, They made him very one dimensional. So yeah I guess mixed feelings on that one.
30 years ago when a TV special was broadcasted that year. I watched this 30 yrs ago and still has the same strong emotional feeling. Such a touching song.
