Ok, so as you all know, when DBZ Kai was first released, it originally had background music composed by Kenji Yamamoto, but after his termination following the discovery that a lot of his songs were plagiarised, all of the original background music by him was replaced with songs from Shunsuke Kikuchi that was done for the original Dragon Ball Z, and was used for reruns and future home media distribution.
Eventually the music replacement would apply to the American distribution of the series, on DVD and TV broadcasts, with 4kids being the first company to apply the music change to their version of DBZ Kai as it was going through the Namek Saga, and Nicktoons did their music change some time later.
Though Toei did not use ALL of the music he composed, they only used a handful of songs by him. And I've noticed that there were a few moments in one episode of the 4kids version of DBZ Kai that there were some Kikuchi tracks that were not usually used by Toei.
For comparison, I'm gonna show you the Nicktoons version of these scenes with the Kikuchi soundtrack, and then I'm gonna show the 4kids version to show what songs they used compared to what was used officially by Toei
