Oh, Hush does suck. Hard. But only beneath the surface, and what a beautiful surface it was. When you commission Jim Lee to pencil a 12-issue run of Batman, and you include Joker, Catwoman, Harley, Ivy, Riddler, Two-Face, Croc, Clayface, Ra's Al Ghul, Superman, and various other characters Lee hadn't drawn before, you're a guaranteed top seller, regardless of what story you tell with these building blocks. So Loeb didn't even fucking try. The laziest murder mystery ever that set up the mystery and introduced the single suspect (Bruce's best childhood friend who we never introduced in the 60-plus years before) in the first issue, and then wasted the following ten issues with a painfully unoriginal greatest hits montage, before getting to the very predictable ending that doesn't even make sense. Ugh! People liked Batman fighting Superman in Dark Knight Returns, so let's do that again. People liked Batman fighting Ra's Al Ghul in the desert, so let's do that again. People liked it when they fixed Two-Face's face in Dark Knight Returns, so let's do that again. People like Batman falling in love with Catwoman, so let's do that again. All while an Unknown Soldier look-alike in a Jim Lee Trenchcoat is running around to create a mystery, with the single suspect (the childhood friend) ending up as the one behind the mask. To add insult to injury, tying the Riddler into the reveal was the biggest out of character moment for the Riddler ever. And that includes the Marilyn Manson redesign from that one cartoon. When you have Batman's greatest villains, all better and more dangerous than ever before, and Riddler is the only one who appears to be less competent than before, then that is the stupidest attempt at misdirection I have ever seen. Besides, Riddler's whole deal, his one overriding trait all throughout his history, has been that he's only the second smartest man in Gotham City, and that he needs to prove that he is smarter than Batman, because that is literally all that matters to him. Figuring out Batman's secret identity is that proof that he'd been searching for all throughout his career. Batman tried to hide the truth, Riddler found it out. He won. And then Batman convinces him with random nonsense about worthless secrets not to shout it from the rooftops? That makes no sense. And the only morsel that could have led to bigger and better stories and character growth? Having Harold betray the Batman in exchange for surgery that made him fit in with the society that had rejected him before? That got crushed when Hush killed him moments later, and it's never been followed up on since. Hush is a boring, thoughtless, by-the-numbers collection of the most overplayed notes in history that added nothing to the Batman mythos, while simultaneously ignoring or destroying what had come before. Without Jim Lee, nobody would have cared one iota. Buy the cover art as posters, frame them and hang them on your wall. But don't try to tell me that Hush doesn't suck.

That does bring to mind, what kind of deck WOULD Batman use? I imagine it would be one that revolved around his detective skills. I think he'd ultimately go with Archfiends but that's just my opinion. I know Joker would likely use a Toon deck.

Yeah, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter were the only A-List members if I'm remembering correctly. The rest were lesser known characters like Vibe, Gypsy, and Vixen.
