Kilmer is my fav Batman low-key, watched batman forever on repeat a lot as a kid, and I'm kinda hoping they release him in his other suit, like he barely wears that one that they used and that first all black one looks so good
Kilmer's black suit is called the Panther Suit and it's pretty cool! I'm hoping we get a a good version of that suit as the DC Multiverse version was awful with the fruit roll-up cape and no likeness to Kilmer. I think McFarlane could have done a much better job with the Sonar suit as it looks pretty bad. They messed up the chest and bat symbol pretty badly.
kilmer is over hated , that movie was really good and has a good few of iconic actors. i know a lot of people dislike it but it’s one my favorites as well
Clooney looks incredible. And Kilmer as well. Batfleck is a huge improvement. And even the Robert Pattinson version is an improvement because he has no side eyes.
Ah dude you caved into ToyShill's demands! Shame but I understand you don't want the drama. Great review, I have two of these myself as they look outstanding both in and out of box! Both of my Kilmers have slight paint issues with the belt unfortunately. Side note, isn't it funny how the guy who told you to cease and desist your thumbnail style for copying has almost exact same logo and name as Toy Biz? 😅
Seriously how the f do we convince Todd to make this figure, people actually out there mixing and matching parts and custom jobs to where he's half arsed the figure, Where's afflecks gold belt and gold accents on straps? I see pure laziness...
I have such a similar story to you, I was 5 years old when Batman returns came out and my parents took me to see it and it scared the living hell out of me as well but I too was just immersed in the world and could not get enough! Cheers man!
Keaton’s is amazing looking. There’s too much armor now. I loved the scene in the Affleck Daredevil when he gets home from dispensing justice and pops painkillers. It was the first time I remember them portraying a basically normal human needing strong pain relief just from brawling let alone withstanding punches from Superman. After my first football practice I was in so much pain from helmets hitting me that I can get a fleeting glimpse into what someone like this would feel. The less armor, the tougher they seem. Combat hurts. A lot.
Man that sux about the paint on the Keaton bat symbol!! Can’t wait to get mine but I’m worried about the delays from Amazon lately like the gold label 89 Batmobile and the glow in the dark Swamp Thing I’m worried they’ll be cancelled.
I sadly missed out and now i am hoping i can get it from Best Buy since they are the only ones that sells them on September...i am definitely getting a extra ben Affleck figure from the set just to head swap the flash version Batman 👀👌
Gonna do this also, I checked out a custom paint re do by another youtuber, he deserves to have the blue and grey and that headsculpt is his body double not affleck. 👏
Learn the next step of this game: Don't like the costume choices for Clooney or Kilmer? There will probably be another set with their secondary outfits eventually. The cloth goods capes kind of sealed the deal for me on these even though I already have 4 of these figures already.
Born in 87. Bale is the best Batman. Best representation of who Batman is from comic to screen. I love Kilmer and Pattinson as well. Clooney gets a lot of hate but he's just Adam West 2.0, a throwback to a more light hearted Batman. And that figure looks awesome. Love the 89 aesthetic. Affleck doesn't move the needle all that much for me but I can't wait to have this set at home. I like that the paint apps are different from the ones previously released. Hopefully all the other Batman's get the Batmobile treatment like 89 and we can get the alternate suits for Kilmer and Bale that way.
Can not wait for this to arrive. Though theatrically Keaton was my first Batman, I would catch reruns of the 66 Adam West. That being said, I've lived through all of these and remember how they were advertised in commercials here in the US. From McDonald's to Kenner. Which I did have many of the various forms of Batman, so I can say there is a definitive Batman that just sticks out theatrically. Kevin Conroy on the other hand is more to my calling but I highly doubt that would fit in here. Lol. Otherwise I think the set looks amazing, the Signal is very good looking and I have to agree, we need more diorama pieces to build up the multiverse. 66 has it's cave, study and villians lair. I think it's time Todd starts building up our displays as well.
On closer inspection with my own copy, the Ben Affleck Batman really surprised me with how good it is, that Affleck head sculpt is immaculate. I hope we get other ‘better’ Affleck figures in the future. I’m also a huge fan of the returns suit.
Every review I’ve seen on this 6 pack so far mentions Keaton’s neck mobility as a bad thing, but none of the reviewers mention that same issue on the Kilmer or Clooney figures…
@@DCMultiCollector I feel that way about Keaton, but it’s the same for me with the others as well. The awkward neck turn, even through Begins, will always be burned into my brain. To answer your question; I grew up with ‘89 and Returns as well!! It’s a bummer the chest logo on yours is a bit fudged. Definitely some quality control issues. The sculpt and paint designs are decent but the inconsistency hits pretty hard for individual consumers. I’m eager for my 6 pack to arrive. Hopefully in the next week or so 🦇
Nice video bro! It seems to me that the Michael Keaton Batman on the Batmobile has better likeness, and also the suit on the 6 pack looks green? But on the gold label looks good.
I appreciate that they went with Kilmer's suit from the final stretch of the movie to make him look more distinct from the rest: there aren't many figures of that design outside of the Kenner line
You’re quite right. And I am very confident we will see a Batman Forever wave soon, which has the potential to include the suit from earlier in the movie.
I got the set... I rather have not done it tbh... if buy them individually we spend a bit more cash per figure but at least them bring multiple acessories and hand sets
I can see the reasoning. I do love the big awesome box and bat signal though. Feels like a cool collector piece. But that’s just my feeling. We are gonna see stand alone versions of these figures in the future. Clooney is already announced. Kilmer will get a Batman Forever BAF wave sometime next year for sure.
Growing up I loved Keaton/Kilmer Batman films so much. The Kilmer and Clooney figures look fucking amazing. Bale is my all time favorite Batman but the figure doesn't look as good as I want him to look. Affleck would've been a lot better in his first Batman suit appearance but McFarlane loves complex design. This box set is really good tbh.
Great review. Keaton was my Batman growing up, but I think that Affleck nailed the character better than anyone else because both his Batman and Bruce Wayne were spot on for me. Everyone else was either a good Batman, or a good Bruce Wayne but not really both.
@@MrMelsonif he fills out a bit more. As is hes waaayy to skinny. In terms of true batman characteristics. Affleck did the best physically. Keaton is king tho ngl. 🤓
Todd has an agenda against the BvS Standard Bat suit I swear 💀 eitherway all figures look awesome and fingers crossed we get something similar with all the Supermen on screen (movies & tv shows)
Well thank you very much that is pretty cool. Especially with that bat signal cause you could put that in some kind of a scene with the cars and figures.
so glad they finally made a proper Clooney figure, he´s my childhood Batman and i´m so glad Batman And Robin is finally getting recognition, such a great movie
Keaton is king at portraying Batman/Bruce Wayne. NO accessories or extra swap out hands this is why you can't fully in invest in Todd's figures or vehicle's something is always off from the grey canopy on the 89 Batmobile to height issues not being in the right scale with his other figures produce .And finally No extra swap out head sculpts or hands and accessories it's sad.
Now having said my non-peace about the availability of this set, I read so many comments about each person's favorite Batman actor and portrayal, and I love everyone's take. Everyone comes from different birth eras, and each Batman speaks to each person. I personally love all of them, and was disappointed that Adam West wasn't given an all new sculpted deluxe figure to go in this box. Keaton was my Batman. I grew up on West and Batman '66 stuff. But I was in the ninth grade, and the movie lit up my brain and imagination, like nothing before it. I inhabited Tim Burton's vision for two years until Burton delivered Batman Returns, and then I inhabited THAT world. In '89 and '90 I read, and re-read the comic book adaptation, and drew panels from it on my school folders 📂 . . . The Joker was just so awesome in that iteration. To this day, I have DC dreams of these heroes and villains, but Batman ALWAYS looks like Batman '89, in my sleeping dreams. It always looks so Gothic and Noir-ish. The lighting, and the style of Batman, his vehicles, and the Gotham Cityscapes, always look so surreal and dark. I always have the best dreams when I'm lucky enough to have my subconscious bestow upon me, these visions in my sleep. 😴
The paint stuff really turns me off but I'm excited for my set. I had an issue with my Superman Hush, the yellow S on the cape was messed up and that bothered me a lot so I purchased another. The Kilmer figure looks fantastic.
Kilmer and Forever May be tied for my favorite Batman alongside Battinson. That said the Forever figure is the only figure that looks good to me in these. That Clooney Batman looks so cheap to me. I’m not a big fan of McFarlane toys. I wish I was but the articulation isn’t there and the figures just look cheap to me. I’m more of a fan of mafex. A mafex is maybe the price of 3 McFarlane figures and is worth it 100% for me.
Got x2 of these 6 packs, one in the box and the others loose on display, so gutted we didn't get the BvS batsuit from affleck but regardless, a must have for any batman fan ❤️ 👏 P.s it does annoy me that we get these sculpts, and accuracy, but the flash batfleck wasn't given the blue and grey. Needs to step it up a little.
@DCMultiDude head sculpt change and a lick of some liqutex acrylic paints 🎨 and a blue cape swap. If Todd isn't going to make it il do it myself lol. But yes sadly I think it was going to be the black and chrome suit from the deleted scenes.
@@DCMultiCollector happy to help! I just had the original sitting on my desk beside me while I was watching and I was like wait a minute... Cool video though! Good to see the actual product and not just promo photos. Out of curiosity, are the bicep swivels still immobilized on the new Bale figure?
Personally I think Keaton is the best Batman BECAUSE he portrays the character as the character is portrayed via comics. However, I think Batfleck was dope, but he suffered from mid writing and that whole Justice League bullshit which probably made him hate everything. I still find any movie with him in it enjoyable tho
@@DCMultiCollector yeah I feel like if the Ultimate Edition was released instead of the Theatrical BvS, and if ZSJL came out instead of Josstice League, then his Batman would have been met with more praise except for the controversy surrounding his killing thing (which I personally don’t mind but I can see how some care).
@@DCMultiCollector honestly I agreed with what you said about Keaton I think his entire sculpt is masterful but in my honest opinion Affleck has to be my favorite solely because of the headsculpt😂
Bruh, Amazon keeps delaying mine. It was supposed to come August 31st, then it got delayed to September 6th, THEN the 13th THEN AGAIN to the 20th....I'm losing my mind
@@DCMultiCollector I'm trying but if it gets delayed again imma lose it. What's worse is my Hush Superman and Batmobile 2-Pack got delayed indefinitely. Amazon really be testing me lately...
Grew up on Keaton Batman Liked Val Kilmer as Keaton's replacement. Some said they should have cast him as Batman from the start. Clooney did Clooney, so it wasnt the best fit. Bale has the best movies. Batfleck might have been the greatest if he had the same demeanor as Bale or Keaton instead of saddling him with quippy one liners. Never cared for Battinson, havent watched The Batman. Didnt like the suit from all the previews. As far as the figures go, I really dig the Clooney and Kilmer suits how they came out. The Keaton Batman just looks odd with the neck articulation.
Why are you complaining about the technical aspects of the spot light? Gotta keep cost production down! I don’t want to pay twice the amount for a stronger light to what project a logo on the wall? I don’t think most care about that! The pack is wonderful and the spot light is economical.
Hi man, I am just saying I think the light is a little bit cheap. It’s just my fair comment. I’m allowed to criticise stuff that I don’t like and praise stuff that I like. That’s the whole point. I too think the pack is wonderful.
There are strong and credible rumours of a Batman Forever BAF wave in 2024. I think it’s more likely to be a repack of this figure with a sculpted cape.
I grew up Keaton Batman, and i agree Kilmer is very underrated... Although i think Affleck is the most accurate portrayal of Batman other than the animated Kevin Conroy R.I.P. 😢
I would love a 7” Adam West but I suspect this being a Warner Bros anniversary celebration set stopped that, as theatrical Batman 66 wasn’t a WB joint.
@@DCMultiCollector Well, that then. nvm. :) I have SHF Keaton, which is really nice. NECA has a very good looking one, but overscaled. Yet MEZCO too, which is bulky. Sadly, McFarlane is really bad in this spot.
@@RoyalPredator For the price point I have no issue. You have to look at things in context. This is a mass market line. Some of the figures you mention. Would cost the same for just one of the Batmen. This is a different category altogether.
technically im a bale kid but Affleck is my favorite followed by Pattinson. now kilmer is close. and hot take here Keaton is the worst representation of Batman. now do i respect his take? of course! the more batman the better but his just is not as good to me as the previously mentioned
Keaton Batman is missing the black ring around the insignia but still looks good he is my Batman Kilmer looks the best The blue and silver suit for Cloony would have been great And yes the Nolan Batman figure is the worst of all 6
