Today I got this nightwing thanks to your review. Im a female collector and this nightwing is handsome as hell. Good review and welcome 2022 I hope this year you will get a lot of toys
That headsculpt alone is making me want this tbh. Saw a head swap and it looked amazing reminded me of the icons nightwing which is a gorgeous figure imo
Pre-ordered this Nightwing, and I am excited. I am getting all the Nightwings that Mcflarane is coming out with and I am going to rotate which ones I use for display.
Walking poses are cool too! Neutral poses are cool if that's how you want to display them. I recently saw someone post on a Multiverse facebook group that they "didn't know how to pose," so I want to help people see that they DO know how to pose, they just need to use inspiration or even look at themselves in the mirror acting out the pose they want!
I hope I find in store now last week I cancelled my Red & NightWing off Amazon then came across money lol so I ordered Swamp Thing, I want to play this game for sure & love the figures falling reaction Happy New Year.
One of my favorite experiences with the Multiverse line is when a figure I feel ambivalent about turns out to be super fun in hand, it's an unexpected treat.
I enjoy the collector cards. I think they're a neat throwback. But they really should just go back to showing the source material whether it's the comics, movies or video games. I kind of feel like McFarlane Toys has been experimenting all throughout this toyline with different things like the articulation and how it's not consistent yet and everynow and then some new take on the torso articulation for example comes around and it either works or it doesn't. And I feel thats what's going on with the card art.
Apparently part of the reason they've transitioned to photos of the toys for the cards is because they couldn't clear the artwork in time for production.
I should have been more clear, I meant they hadn't implemented that on a hefty-framed character, but they have done it on several Jokers and female characters.
You're right on both counts. Mcfarlane gets hate from most Legends fans, who many times secretly buy them anyways. Also Mcfarlane does terrible promos. I mean terrible. Thy have the same problem as DST. Products are always better in-hand
@@JoshFromBefore "locked in" is the right word. I always collected both scales. My main was 6" like everyone else, but I always found fault with legends' lack of detail and reuse. And being overseas I couldn't justify to myself the 30% shipping cost to get imports all the time. DCC, NECA, DST, Mcfarlane, and now Beast Kingdom provides well enough for 7"scale collectors. I hope more companies see the scale as viable. I'd love to get more commandos and civilian-looking figs.
I think the reason people have a problem with the photos is that they started the line with art from the property, which look better for the trading cards than toy photography.
I saw someone post on a Multiverse facebook group that they "didn't know how to pose," so I'm making it my mission to help people find the inspiration they need to get the poses they want!
@@JoshFromBefore oh yeah, their promo pics are ass. They always put their toys in the most stiff poses. I almost skipped out on their human torch this year Bc of the promo pics until I saw some video reviews and realized how awesome it was
Great review! He kinda looks like Marty Mcfly’s father but cooler 🤘 I actually got the grey chase Red Hood from Amazon with him lol I definitely think he’s a superior Nightwing to the original release though. There’s a big difference between the promo photography and the card art photography. Gotta say the card art has been stellar lately, like the Solar Suit Superman. I really don’t know what the issue is with ab crunches. It’s so easy to fix on a production level. You can actually customize any existing Mcfarlane figure to have a full ab crunch by just dremeling a notch in their torso rings, there’s a few vids on RU-vid that show you how and it’s completely invisible: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9ONSM1IvQEI.html Why Todd can’t do it is the biggest mystery in modern Toy collecting. I also played the hell out of Avengers, can’t wait for She-hulk 💪
That Avengers game was surprisingly fun, the biggest miss for me personally is that they don't even come close to the environmental storytelling that Rocksteady achieved in the Arkham series - why they can't make AIM laboratories and Helicarriers feel more alive and lived in, idk, but it feels like a missed opportunity.
Im happy they do cards but the shots are so bad its like whats the point. Its laughable. I know there has to be someone who would do better photos for free just to get name recognition or for the love of dc.
