here in Norway we are starting to use 350 kWh on the road and some places 22 kWh at home. This year we also get the wireless charging (like the new Audi V). In the past some norwegians had 1-fase 16A or even 50 kW first generation rapid chargers. In 2018 we even have some buslines with electric buses and self-driven ones too. Some poor norwegian with older houses only have 8A IT nett.
Good to see EV technology getting the push in India. EV technology is evolving so in the future we will see 2 things happening - a.) more charging stations across the country b.)Better batteries (efficient / with long range). So the problem of range will go away. Lets hope that this happens sooner. GreatJob by Mahindra and Mr. Gadkari for encouraging and promoting EVs. Hope infrastrucure around EV will come up faster than bullet trains in India :) Nice music and Great video (espcially audio quality) ->-Say Yes to EV and No to pollution.
Congrats and best wishes. As a desi who lives in Canada and has recently bought a Chevy Bolt (and love it), I am happy and proud to see the progress in India as well.
pmohanram all because of pressure from nitin gadkari bjp roads minister who has given ultimatem to car companies in India to do research in electric vehicles
This is such an amazing, uplifting video! Thank you PluginIndia (Pradip & Kamlesh) for doing this. We love electric mobility. It's also a landmark event as this is the first publicly accessible charge point in India that one is aware of. God bless you all! May good things continue to happen on all fronts with the people (us) aware and engaged in making them happen.
Varun Ramesh It will come. Our first generation Nissan Leaf and BMW i3 cars can charge to 80% in half an hour on second generation Chadimo and CCS chargers where we are in western Canada. Happy Eving.
There's already technology to charge in seconds that too a Tesla with that huge battery. But still under development. So, it'll be implemented by 2020.
Wow!!! Thanks a lot for sharing this. I have worked on the software development of CHAdeMO for a Japanese quick charger few years ago. And I’m feeling so good to see this working in India!
Thumbs up towards pollution-free India.I support this initiative of the govt. towards a greener, cleaner future. More electric charging stations need to be commissioned across the country. Waiting for once such network of charging stations to be commissioned on the 'Chennai-Bangalore-Hubli-Pune-Mumbai' route. Best Regards from Bangalore.
This is humble request to everyone buy an electric vehicls instead of petrol. Though it will cost you somewhat hire but in future You will be benifited and more in profit in electric vehicle. GO india go say no to pollution
64 % Electricity in India is coal .!! Thermal conversion and pollution of coal is much much higher than fuel . EVs only necessary for large metros with high number of vehicles ( in turn distributing the pollution elsewhere to power stations)
happy for you Pradip Mishra I hope this quick charging point also come in Delhi NCR too. And I hope soon better electric car like Tesla start to sell more electric car in India
Waoo great work. In this way company win not only name and fame of being 1st and old electric car company in india but also save environment for future human beings
I have been advocating that for years. Companies (even gas stations with huge network of service stations) should have worked with car companies to develop quick change batteries. Would actually be quicker than refueling. So slow to react.
Sanjay Kumar your idea was good I'm thinking about this type of questions but they won't give us reply to like this questions sir they want do business and earn money that's it
Ds Charging hours together nd customer waiting it z not possible in future nd for regular life style so,,,,, exchange battery z good nd no doubt that it z possible in future if people get awareness about Saving themselves and also for County regarding Fuel Imports,,,,, and also think once about a BIRD how it Flys freely with wisdom without depending on others Support for our Country to b free from oil imports......
Sir, this is going to happen eventually. We may even have to buy extra battery pack and carry it along with us during longer journeys like spare tire, just in case.
Replacing battery Everytime the battery is not possible yet,cuz the battery is large and takes a long time, instead it's better to provide superchargers
The Quick Charger consumed almost 13 Units of Electricity to charge the vehicle's battery 🔋 from 15% to 93% (i.e. 78%). And if the electricity per unit price @ Rs. 6/- to be calculated then it is quite expensive to run. But there is the advantage of time duration for a full charge.
You can also charge at home for daily use unlike a petrol/diesel polluting vehicle. That means not nearly as much of a problem as you think. Other thing is, government is trying to promote households to install charging points as a way to generate income. So you could have so many charging points available that you'll never need to cue up
Well bravo... A few good Men.., A few good Women.., A few good Youths.., A few good Children.., And thus a few good community.. I have faith it will grow and we all will definitely save our home, 🌍 **Where in Mumbai is the charge station located?, which you showed in the video ... In the beginning of the video, the notice gives information of three charging stations: +One in Nerul, Navi Mumbai (1hour) +Second in Santa Cruz (4hours) ...And while returning back... *G3 Motors, Nerul, Navi Mumbai (1 hour) *(and the third one), Trinetra, Lonavla (2hours)
www.pluginindia.com/evcategory.html Check out our website for details on charging stations and download the App for seeing the nearest charging stations around u... Cars these days come with enough range and you may not need to charge within the city. You have Fast charging option for longer routes
Hi @pluginIndia and @kamlesh , it would be nice to see a video on how to charge batteries of E2o, what you do, like discharge fully or charge it overnights and how frequently you charge the battery fully and general usage.! Because I see lot of people have battery problems and this could help them.! Thanks..😊😊
Yes.. what if you overcharge your battery like you keep your phone charging on overnight? Can you do that with the car or will it damage the battery? Is there a protection feature for that?
140 km per charge. An electric car is extremely efficient in chaotic traffic conditions. There is no consumption of energy while idling as compared to OIL based cars
EV is great, looking at the running cost.... so we are looking at option to own one... want to know more regarding delhi circle... like Delhi-Jaipur/Alwar/Siriska/Neemrana etc, Delhi Chandigarh/Murthal/Sonipath/Panipat/Karnal etc Delhi-Agra/Mathura-Virindavan
Great to Chademo standard chargers in India. What is the real world range that you are getting from your e2o plus considering that you can do Pune Mumbai.
the e2o Plus P8 gave us 120 km per charge on that particular Pune-Mumbai trip. Regularly in city, you get 110-120 km and if you make efforts to drive efficiently, you get even more!
We were the first customers ever to visit the quick charger - so it was complimentary. Rs 100 per hour for Quick charger and Rs 20 per hour for slow charging is planned by Tata Power.
@@yadaKiKhula thts Rs 2 per Km .... much cheaper than petrol.. say normal petrol hatchback would give 10kmpl in Bombay city n petrol price is 78....Rs 7.80 per km. Still price of charging should come down..
Timing of charging is only and biggest disadvantage , no matter service charge slow speed we all can manage but charging time need big technology innovation where 15-20min need to charge full battery
Wow! India is so so far ahead in technology and innovation compared to it's neighboring countries. What a self sustainable nation. Love from a former Pakistani. By the way roads are so well kept and traffic is in order.
We were the first customers ever to visit the quick charger - so it was complimentary. Rs 100 per hour for Quick charger and Rs 20 per hour for slow charging is planned by Tata Power.
A long way to go. It's close to 8.2 kw charger, which is about L2 (7.2kw) charging in rest of the world. Looks like it's because of the pack voltage, which is about 80V.
What is the possibility of installing such fast chargers at different locations? At residences and office locations? Is it feasible? Or 112A is impossible with domestic electricity setups? And cost of having such setup? Any inputs on these grounds? 7+ charging time is ridiculous. And not practical at all for charging enroute.
We have Startup for EV but we Have to focus more kilometer in one charge atleast 200-300 kilometer to improve battery capacity like tesla and reduce battery charging time by 70% mean only 15 to 20 minutes.to improve Amps of charger.
Unfortunately having batteries with larger energy densities will increase costs and in a price sensitive market like India - its an issue. But Lithium prices are dropping and in coming decades we will have other chemistries too. Also rate of charge is limited by Lithium's issues with heat. So lots can change in the future. This is a start.
For those who don’t know, the charging protocol used here is called CHAdeMO. In Japanese language, “ocha demo ikaga desu ka” means “how about some tea?” CHA de MO here effectively means that by the time you’ve had your cup of tea the car will be charged and ready to go!!
Tata power should open entertainment hub/park/chai sutta/coffee network with multiple quick charging + battery swap open to change battery for more quick need for already charged battery.
You cannot DC charge your old REVA. It needs to have an inbuilt port to accept fast charging. At this location, yes you can charge your old REVA e2o using the normal AC slow charging adapter for free.
Lets start a demand analysis of Mumbai pune ev users. So we can ask government for better consessions and or dc quick charge on the hiway. If anyone knows or can float a form among their ev circle.
Its Rs 100 per hour for fast charging and Rs 20 per hour of slow charging. If you are doing fast charging and you are paying - Rs 100 for around 125 km is a decent bang for your buck. Ofcourse u r only occasionally using fast charging.
did anyone notice how he pulled the charging plug from the car socket? cant believe he was wiggling the plug... did not expected that from a guy who is driving a sophisticated car
