Speaking of deathcounts, I remember one time when Edge Games was my highest deathcount. Ahh the gravitron. The biggest reason I'll never be able to no-death this. A fun and well-designed challenge, but also so so evil. Next time you return, we all get to learn how well more than a decade old muscle memory holds up for Doing Things The Hard Way!
Yeeesss, Pressure Cooker (looparound area OST) is my second favorite track. "Vee." Very nice job with Edge Games. I didn't even remember what it was like, but some room names stick with you regardless. That was a lovely guffaw of glee when you managed 15+ seconds! Nice moves! The concept of the "Murdering Twinmaker" is the reason I would _never_ accept anything less than a straight portal without any event horizon as a teleportation method. No disassembly allowed!
As someone who has played VVVVVV, I want to congratulate you, Veceased Crab, for lasting 30 seconds in The Gravitron. Hopefully, someone find the remaining trinket you need so you can finish.
(0:07) Whoops, the list of which trinkets you have is stretching outside of the edges of the screen. Maybe this Async version should've split the found trinkets into two lines after you've acquired more than ten of them or so. Anyway, as it stands now, you only need trinket #9 for go mode. (1:14) Alright, Warp Zone is open. So, that must mean that Space Station 2 (which has Veni Vidi Vici) is the one you require trinket #9 to unlock. (3:19) Edge Games time. I remember how this one actually gave me more trouble than Veni Vidi Vici on one of my early playthroughs. (4:12-4:18) Success! (6:12) Intermission 2 time, which features... The Gravitron! (7:08) Made it about 34.5 seconds before your first death on this Gravitron attempt. That's pretty good, honestly. (8:06) Gravitron complete! Fun fact: One time, I managed to die just after the timer hit zero, and I quickly died several more times in quick succession because I was still overlapping the square that killed me, which was only making one frame worth of advancement with each death. That was silly, but at least it wasn't a complete softlock, as the square did eventually move off of my position, allowing me to proceed.
Oh, I get it! This is running kind of long, huh? I don't think we'll be able to top the original La-Mulana LP's length but we might make second place at this rate. Also as often as you reference the TWEWY soundtrack you should totally LP that one next (after a long and well-deserved break, of course).
The thing about the Gravitron is that you have to survive for 60 seconds, but the game checkpoints you every 5 seconds. Imagine you'd have to start all over every time you go squish...
