fully agree! ..That was a BS drop, man ive been talking about the red lynx for years, waited up all night and woke up early and they were basically all sold out. like you said, they could have charged $200+ a pair and people would still be eating them up. i dont get the limited run hype? DC doesn't make money off of re-sold shoes so whats the point? obviously costs more to make these than you average slim garbage. but they will sell even if the price is higher FFS get it together DC!!
It sucks that they are limited, but it also sucks that it's a Lynx and a Kalis OG. I wear these two models in different sizes, so I'd always have 1 pair that fits and one that doesn't.
nah your completely right dc is just trying to build hype up for their heritage releases an its stupid af. and I never thought about what else you said Kalis would be making so much more money if they just regularly sold his shoe. would literally be like janoskis or dunks, they could be just raking in the cash and making the brand way bigger than they could even imagine. oh yeah how did you feel about the Macba kalis og release too ? was completely unavailable to ship to Canada I was so sad. always have wanted a black Kalis shoe but nope :(
Thank you for sharing. I found most DC shoes run a half size short. I don't wear them. 12 is too small and 13 is too big (trip hazard), if that makes sense.
@@dp4auburn If DC would only re-tool the Chinese production to actually be true to size, then that would fix a lot of issues, including the width issue our friend here pointed out. The current tooling looks to be a cheap copy of the original, worn-out molds. Save half an inch of material and save a million dollars a year, you know.
Yeah annoying how I can’t be wearing those lynxs rn. And tbh if I coulda found the double box in my size I woulda said f it and still bought it (even tho I rly only want lynx). But nope.
It just doesn't make sense to me. All the shoes people DON'T want to skate, they constantly keep fully stocked. I hardly see anyone skating a majority of their other shoes. The OG's are where it's at, not to mention their other models from that era that they could potentially bring back. I keep shoveling out money for Lynx OG's because they are my favorite shoe to skate in, so they should capitalize on that and actually sell them on the regular
The basic pack and the black one too that's the lynx on a slight diet but done right. Lynx zero is just bones, if they want to slim the og do it like the basics pack.
I live in the UK and although the hype for DC may not be as large as in the states, theres 100% some dedicated DC heads and plenty plenty tom penny worshippers, just far less people trying to buy and sell shoes, obviously theres some but i feel like in America theres way more resellers who'll buy into whatever they can profit off of
What about the kalis truth are they ever going to reissue it or what? I don't like the red kalis og the best thing dc have done since there 90s comeback is the buttergoods collection by far, that butter kalis og is so fucking dope
@@999thenewman Forreal. I'm almost 11.5 in everything but Kalis. I got sort of a wide foot and even in the 11 they feel good. I'd definitely say Kalis runs a half size big.
