Hey man don’t let that discourage you from pursuing something really cool! I play sax in high school last year, picked up baritone, auditioned, got contracted, and had an amazing summer. It just takes a lot of work and patience but you’ll be satisfied with your growth and the end result.
Memes Topic XD i wouldn’t say you’re giving up sax altogether. I’m still playing tenor and pushing for all state this year, but it will interfere with your sax playing for sure.
Carolina Crown 2020, as soon as I get out of high school, btw can you play married life from the movie UP after the trumpet cleaning video? Thanks for the tips!
planning on auditioning for the 2020 season. This video has encouraged me to start practicing a little more than 5 days a week and to start going outside and just doing some basic marching drills. Thank you!
Envious of anyone who marched drum corps, especially world class. Being a woodwind player I never would have been able to learn brass or drums quick enough to get to the level I would have needed just to have a small chance. Marching I was fine , my high school band was a BOA national finalist all four years I was there (96-99), so I had experience marching and playing at a high level. We did really fast tempos with tough drill and technically difficult music. A lot of people in the band marched dci, cavaliers, cadets, star of Indiana and later blast! Good luck I hope all you guys make the corps of your dreams and get ready to work hard and really get after it. There is nothing like performing in front of 30,000 marching arts fans. GreAt video
Thanks omg, I'm auditioning for Genesis in a month and I've been playing Contra for about 5 months, as I'm a clarinet player normally lol, so these tips are getting me pumped for it
I’m planning on auditioning for Bloo 2121 or 2122 depending on time between college and other stuff and tuition. But thanks for the tips and I’m sure they will help me be the best I can be for auditioning!
I'm going For Carolina Crown and Spirit of Atlanta 2019. I would do love to get into the corps but u thing my greatest weakness is my double tonguing. I've been working like CRAZY to make it better and I'm seeing progress. I am also just trying to get everything up to speed and I know everything isn't going to be as fast as they want it and I've been grinding practice sessions, playing and not every day and now I'm ramping up the length because of how close camp is.
I really want Carolina crown or bluecoats but of course I still need a lot more practice musically in order to get THANK you for the tips they really do help👍👍😁
Hey man! I'm currently hoping to audition for Impulse 2018! I'm super happy you made this video because at first, I wasn't to sure what to expect when I go in to audition. Now, I will be prepared and hopefully march drum corps for my first year soon. Thank you so much!
Auditioning for vanguard cadets 2018 and golden empire 2018. i got cut from scvc at callbacks last year but worked on my weaknesses and I am ready hopefully
I might try out for Blue Stars 2022, Blue Knights 2022 and Spirit of Atlanta 2022 as a junior in HS for the experience of the Auditions and then if I get cut I’ll come back next year even stronger hopefully
Auditioning for Blue Stars next month. Preparing the marching for corps is a bit tough with the demands of double majoring with music and all the stuff to practice for that too
Bluecoats 2022 is my goal. I would have auditioned for 2021 but COVID and also my band director in High school won't let me because I'm a drum major xD. More time to prepare then I guess!
