Just go for it. Seriously, the worst thing they can do is tell you that your not quite ready at that point in time. I highly recommend checking out any of your favorite corps camps that are near your area, and just going.

Destruction Hamster my biggest regret is joining the Navy, instead of trying out for Drum Corps like I wanted to. I love my job, but heck man, it would've been super cool to march still.

If I had the money I'd definitely try out. But until I win the lottery, I'm gonna be stuck here lol.

I'm the alto sax leader and I'm a high school sophomore. Everyone tells me that's great and I should be honored and I have a great future in the marching band but then what if I do want to go out for DCI in the future. I'll be left completely hanging lol

Mine starts next week. I'll have to see how it goes. Most of the upper classmen see me as this godly figure because I got sophomore leader, which I'm really not, it was just lack of suitable upper classmen. And there are some upper classmen that totally envy me for it

Ahhh I can relate! I play flute, but this year I learned trombone for jazz band. But as far as I'm aware no one really March's trombone in DCI, so I'm still screwed unless I pick up another brass instrument
