DCP Attractions Role (Working at The Haunted Mansion)

Glad you enjoyed! And yes, the foyer is on a loop and everything is timed to the audio you hear playing. As you will know with your role in theatre, the mansion has audio cues in just the same way. Oh no! Sorry to hear that! It may be depending on how busy (or not busy) it is at the time. I have had times where the entrance hall after stretch was so full that we couldn’t possibly open the mansion doors to let in more guests as there was physically no room inside so we had to skip a stretch room “show”! And other times (mostly towards park close) where we were so empty that I would leave the doors open well after our cue to close them, just because I knew that if people came, they would make it into the stretch room in time for the stretch doors closing and not miss out. Unfortunately we didn’t time anything to the ageing portrait as that is just there to keep guests entertained as we took in a group.usually the doors are opened around 10 seconds prior to the ghost hosts spiel, and he spells as guests are coming in, and then the doors are closed just after the first section of the spiel is complete. @@TheLifeOfGary Hi, thanks for letting me know, I've never liked to ask anybody there how it works as I'm aware they may not want to spoil the magic! Yes, what you are saying about delays in the load hall makes sense as to why the foyer is sometimes opened late in the programme. I have seen the portrait in default for about 10 secs on a good day, so that ties in with what you say. I have noticed the bottle-necking in the loading area at times, I think it's a case of the increased crowds in recent years outgrowing the ride which was built in much quieter days. The foyer once upon a time was in default for a little longer (more 30 secs) and the lightning flashes in the stretch room were longer at one time also, so it may be that these shortened sequences have played a part in the loading area not clearing in time (something that may indeed have to change with the new measures). I've often wondered if a system (for example) where the foyer stays dormant until being triggered by the doors being opened would make the whole thing a bit more efficient for loading guests in for staff, and more consistent also for guests wanting to see the scene. But anyway, hope you get to return one day soon - hopefully being able to visit from the UK will be at our disposal in the ways at is been in the past! Last time I was there I met a young lady at EPCOT from only one town away from us in Wales, shows what a small world it is no matter how far you travel!
