Great tutorial bud. I normally watch Grim Reapers but sometimes he assumes we know more than we do and talks through things way too fast. This was perfect
The maverick is the weapon that I've found to have the biggest disparity between understanding the system and being able to implement it in a mission scenario. The TGP should make acquisition easier but for CAS I think VIS and BORE are the better options to lock up and fire without much fuss.

I'm having a mare with this and its driving me mad. If I TMS up and don't get a lock in VIS mode, I cant TMS down to reset and then TMS to re-attempt the lock, the TMS up switch on subsequent attempts either just wont lock or switches my F16 to A-A mode. Its driving me mad because sometimes I get a missile off no probs, but then the above behaviour kicks in when Im doing the exact same sequence of events.
I've not experienced this. Could you have some conflicting control bindings or an 8 way instead of 4 way hat set for the TWS with some diagonal bindings?
@@deephack it's a 4-way hat with a press button as well. The press button is dogfight mode but the way I can replicate this fault almost certainly rules out user error. First missile always locks and fires normally, which wouldn't be expected if it was a random user error. I might have to record it or put my stick telemetry up while playong to investigate further, but I need to tackle it again when I'm not tired 😄 FWIW, I'm using a virpil constellation alpha.
I am able to follow all the instructions in the f16 maverick training mission but when I go to an online server and do everything the same I am unable to release the maverick. I am locking on within 7nm its successfully handing off from the pod to the missile. But the missile will never release for me.
