Going to try a play through of the new Inherent Resolve campaign recently released in the multithreading beta patch for Digital Combat Simulator.
I'm no expert with this jet and there will be mistakes. For example, my botched gun run due to having rockets selected and using the CCIP reticle for those instead of the gun...

It's perfect for new players. Mission 4 is very hard though. I'm struggling with aerial refuelling on it.

its not a bad campaign, made to decent quality, definitely designed more for beginners though i'd say (which they state), not a huge fan of hot starts (would be nice if they done hot/cold versions), and i doubt theres tanking (im only couple missions in so far), which i find is nice way to break up the pacing sometimes. This is the problem with Ravens & OCN style campaigns is, its hard to go backwards after

Yes I'm a fan of cold starts too, just feels much more realistic and imersive. 100% agree that this is aimed at newer players, it's nowhere near as tough as the likes of Raven One. I think there is a tanking mission but seemed completable with skipping too.

nice video, i didnt like how they force you to fly LOW, i dont wanna be in manpad/AAA wes. i ran out of fuel and just left, mission complete - lol tpod/jdams plz for a2g they need a good campaign for f16

Thanks for being one of the first people to showcase this campaign. I got a question about the campaign and your gameplay. In the end did you have to land back at base or does the mission end when you destroy the convoy? Did you deploy the cluster bombs correctly? From what I know to use the ccip mode you have to make the horizontal bomb fall line go to the bottom of the vertical bomb fall line to form a cross but in your video you seem to drop the clusters when the horizontal line is at the middle of your vertical line. Is this the correct way to deploy the clusters or did you just make a honest mistake in the heat of battle?

Thanks for watching and glad I could showcase it for you! It's a lot of fun from what I've played. So far, I haven't needed to RTB in order to get a full score for a mission and progress to the next one. Regarding the cluster bombs, they were in auto mode which gives a countdown where you need to hold the weapon release button as it crosses that line at level flight. My target point and aircraft attitude were not ideal though, so it wasn't any kind of accurate. I do much better in mission 2 which you can see on my channel shortly. 👍

@@Gribbstar Thanks for the reply! I am a little confused on how the bombs were dropped on auto mode. At 35:17 you lineup for the bombing run and the hud displays the ccip symbology and your mfd displayed mode as ccip aswell.

I got mission success pop up once i pulled into the same parking spot i left from, but didnt test it without doing that so cant be sure. i did get 100% though

hey im starting this one! and one of the first things that happenned to me was my fuel got to zero right after hitting the first camp .. why? is becuase i kept it to full throttle? like whats the strategy to keep fuel levels enough to go back to base? great video!

Yeah your problem is likely burning too much fuel with the afterburner. Do you have a throttle with finger lifts or a detent to tell you where the burner starts? If not then in audio settings make sure loud afterburner sound is switched on. You will hear an audible boom when it fires. Try to avoid using it unless taking off, zoom climbing to higher altitudes or some air combat maneuvers.

Thanks! No reshade or postprocessing when this was recorded but have since added it and makes a very nice difference. Should be able to see it from episode 2 which I hope to record this weekend 👍
