Hey guys. In this DCS video im showing how you can dominate a server with BVR tactics in the F15C. That beeing said, im NOT an expert on the subject. Im showing it here because it works for me 90% of the time. This video made to help guys that are new to DCS world. Hope you guys will find it helpfull.
Its always depends on how much money you are ready to spend. No Nvidia has the 30k GPUs out and they are not as expensive, but if you want to buy one of those, read the reccomendation for a pc that Nvidia says. In not, a 1080ti from Nvidia will serve you well, i would try to get the best CPU that you can buy, because DCS is working with CPU the most. Cooling system will be needed as well.
I really liked the walkthrough on the video. I just hopped into the F25 after grinding out the Viper and have been struggling a bit. This was definitely very helpful!
@@ryz_vik I sometimes forget to throttle out of A/B when I switch back to it from a different module. Takes about 5 minutes of flying for it to run out of fuel and shut off the engine. It has no fuel, even with bags...
for the record you almost never want to bring 3 fuel tanks in the F-15, only ever bring 2. the center tank has more drag than the 2 wing tanks put together and 20,000lb of fuel is already a tremendous amount
Thank you for this. Really struggeling on that server myself. If i stay low i get dunked on from above, if i go high some sneaky guy gets me from below with IR missiles :P
@@LongShotChannel Do you fly the the Jeff at all? I only have the hornet and the Jeff so far and Ive seen people have very differing opinions on the Sd-10 vs the AAMRAM.. would be interested to hear your thoughts on the controversy haha
I kind of knew DCS was a very real Sim, but I didn't realize it was damn near spot on with the on board tactical systems, ECM, and Radar. LS and the other players have to actually learn the plane like a real pilot. Impressive!
Nice video^ showcases what the Eagle is best at. I've been flying the F-15C close to 11 years now from Lock On times to the DCS that we have now. :) Though I really wish the APG-63 in-game can detect Fighter sized targets at 70 - 80 nautical miles instead of 60.. just like the real radar. or so i read. I wish ED would still address this.
@mandellorian Gee Golly.. Imagine a warplane like the F15 that came into service in the 80's having a modern radar in the nosecone in 2008 (when the Georgian War occurred).
@mandellorian months late reply sorry. But yeah.. the thing is.. ED already admitted themselves that they would adjust the apg-63's sensitivity or so.. Its already in the official forums, but now its more of when are they going to implement it.. but then again they couldn't be bothered to fix the fugly night lighting bug the F-15C has for more than a year now.. The Eagle's radar adjustment seems to be even more unlikely.
In an F15 A, never flew the C model, hit and hold 400 kts to .9 Mach, hold .9 Mach to altitude the hit your attack speed. Disclaimer, we never flew a C model with 3 bags, so speed might be different in a loaded C model. Try it at any rate, experiment. Good luck!
Frustrating, vs the Viper, to not be able to see speed, altitude nor magnetic compass most of the time. Probably more familiar with Viper instruments, but the Eagle just isn't as photogenic IMHO. Hard to keep SA, and being an actually aluminum and av-gas pilot, that's unnerving/distracting. All that said, I really love these strategic BVR engagements. The mental game is the juice for me. Time to hit Reply and watch it again!
The eagle would be the absolutely perfect aircraft but.... NO DATA LINK!!! It makes it so hard to fly and the worst thing is that the real f15c has datalink but it wasn't added because ed wanted fc3 planes to be balanced! That's why I really want a full fidelity C eagle
The onboard radar of the AMRAAM is only good for several miles. When taking shots at 40+, the missile behaves like a fox 1 for much of the flight until its onboard radar gets close enough to spot the target. Then, and only then, does it go terminal or "pitbull" where it no longer relies on the launch aircraft's radar.
@@LongShotChannel Thank you so much for the quick reply! One more question if that's okay - what would be the default key for the declare or is it in the radio options? Is it possible to bind that to my joystick?
Ist a key bind to change between different kinds of reports. I do so i will hear only the reports directed to me Its Rshift + / if i remember correctly
@@LongShotChannel Thank you for your reply. I think its rshift + m, but even if u switch to only player reports (or sth like this) it will spam you still when there are a lot of bandits around you (within 200 nm i think, at least on 4ya servers). I thought you deactivated it completely. Only solution I found is to mute helmet sounds :(
Extremely happy to find your channel as an israeli it made me very happy to see someone use the israli jets as often as you do. I am also very thankful for your service to our country :)
