Some missiles missed like that IRL because they seeked on the exhaust gas instead of engine because that was the hottest thing when the target is afterburning. I think one of the aim-9's upgrades compensated for that error
If your going to dogfight with the MiG 21 Bis recommend ditching the double rack R-60s they are not worth it for the weight IMO. 2x R3R and 2x R60 or 4 x R60. The MiG 21's best performance is when it's under 1300L of fuel, with 2 missiles or less. At that weight you can dogfight Sabres.
is it possible i have some sort of lower graphic for inside and outside model of mig21, .. rest of game looks nice, but my mig21 looks really shitty inside and outside.. the detail of rivets is not there..
Based on warthunder, but with a mig21 V/s F5c, you win dogfights in the 21 using vertical loops due to your far superior engine power, to win in the F5 you use the horizontal ratte fight. I believe it would be an effective way to fight A4’s as their engine power is far inferior let alone their energy retention and acceleration from slow speeds.
To be fair I’m not that skilled in the MiG even tho I’ve flown it a lot, in dcs the A-4 rates the same as the f-5e minus the vertical and top speed performance.
