In this short demo, I will demonstrate how to use the new ground radar in the DCS F-16C, in a hypothetical scenario wherein the target area is obscured by clouds (and thus difficult to visually acquire targets or locations) and that new intelligence suggests that the given/current target coordinates are incorrect (bad intel).
In situations wherein a GPS-guided weapon like a JDAM needs a new target coordinates, it would be a bit cumbersome and time-consuming to manually enter the new coordinates (although you can indeed do that in an F-16 via the UFC and DED) once new info comes in. But with ground radar, the job is much easier--you simply slew the ground radar crosshairs (currently slaved to the currently selected steerpoint) to the new coordinates and create a new SPI (sensor point of interest) which will pass the coordinates to the JDAM targeting system and will now steer the JDAM to the new target location upon release.
