Welcome to DCS young padavan! Well OpenConflict closed it´s gates recently. That was a good server for practicing. However, I find that you can also practice and have lots and lots of fun with the mission editor. Watch tutorials on RU-vid for aircraft, missile evasion and how to use the mission editor itself. That´s how I did it. If you proceed to go onto clickable cockpits like the A-10C or the Harrier ( which should be your first buy for a clickable aircraft ), then you will improve greatly by doing the tutorials and demo missions. I hope you have fun in the fandom! Feel free to join the "Digital Combat Simulator" Facebook group. Many of us are there willing to give tips to new simmers! But I have to tell you one thing: After you´ve felt the goodness of DCS World, your Wallet will vanish into the abiss of fun and flight. PS: Before you buy any other FC3 aircraft, buy Flaming Cliffs 3. I made that mistake aswell...

And yes, that makes sense about the A-10. I think long term though, with the setup and training required, I was planning to really focus on mastering one aircraft. I need more buttons, I can tell that already. haha

Good idea at mastering one aircraft but, I think once you get 1 aircraft semi figured out, most of the systems rub off similar to other aircraft as well. So you should get the hang of different aircraft relatively quickly as they have lots of similarities.

F10 -> Click on the tanker on the map -> F4 Adjust the camera by pressing RStrg + RShift ( I think ) + Numpad numbers to where you want it. For more detailed information go to the Eagle Dynamics forums. There´s a thread for that :P

Hunter Hall It's a Su-30 ;D Just kidding. There is a weapons mod ( i dont know the name :/, just google DCS weapons mod ). It adds the R77 to the russians, AIM-57 and AIM-9X to the americans and AIM-120s to the Mirage. :D

oh yeah, i remember that one. Ive only gotten it to work once, and when that happened it invalidated the security thingy, I forget what the DCS term is, and i didnt like my server list being so limited.

With the J-11 carrying them too now, I'm stunned that they haven't given them to the Su-27 and 33 already!
