DCS can't have global because every building is destroyable in DCS, and it wouldn't look as good. Meaning if global was a thing in DCS the maps that you buy would be higher quality.

Global isnt a thing because it wouldnt make any sense. Its trying to simulate combat in a realistic environment. That's why it's only providing maps in which it would make sense to fight in. Apart from that, the maps and the environment as well as the performance is absolutely fantastic.

He made it look fairly simple to do everything... Well, for those reading this - I spent an hour learning how to start up F-16. Then, another hour trying to take off. Then, around 6 hours studying systems. Don't buy any plane in DCS if you're not ready for that. However, if you are, welcome to the community! I reccommend to join DCS discord, they are probably most friendly community you can ever find. They will help you with what to purchase in game, setting up your controls, basiclly everything. maybe somebody will actually read that and take my advice *doubt*

My first Aircraft in DCS was the FA18. Expensive but I got it on sale and have no regrets. It’s so in depth and such a learning curve it will occupy your time for a while

You’d be surprised. I can run this with Radeon (TM) 5 graphics card and AMD A9 (processor?) Do NOT use 2.5 though, install version 1.5.8 and have everything low except cockpit res textures so you can actually see what things say.

the Su-25 (nicknamed frogfoot) is a Close Air Support (CAS) plane, it is very bad at dogfighting, it’s basically the soviet equivalent of the A-10 Thunderbolt II (more commonly referred to as the Warthog)

Haven't played DCS in a while, great for military. Just wish they'd do bigger study level military aircraft such as c130, b52 and c5/c17. I'd be playing it a tonne then and that's all I'd record.

Worth noting it's great in VR and also track IR. Flight model realism not on par with xplane, but it's by far the best most realistic combat SIM. If you want every plane just have $1,000+ ready, the good ones are all $50-$80

While I am very glad that you made this video, I think you may have done your initial impressions a disservice not making it just two or three weeks earlier when DCS world was having it's free month promotion. Yes, free *month*, where almost every module was free to play. Including the high-fidelity fully-clickable and working F-18s, F-16s, and various other fighter jets. There isn't anything wrong with the video because of that, but dogfighting in a frogfoot is kind of like putting a cow in the kentucky derby. Maybe this is worth a revisit the next time a major aircraft promotion is going on?

@@Simon_r2600 that was my philosophy long ago, but then I realized that selling games is the way a developer makes a living, so pirating stuff isn't going to give them money. If it was some big studio or well known game I wouldn't care that much, but in cases like this, where it's a small niche market, every penny counts. Through the years I've started to see pirating as basically stealing, and I would never steal anything. (Btw, about steam money, you can get cards to fill you steam wallet, ask on your local game store or big markets. Also ask about paysafecard, you can use it to add funds too)

One thing I noticed is that where the weapons are located and how many changes the way you fly e.g if you have heavy weapons on one wing only, the plane will tilt slightly, talk about attention to detail!
