Anyone can make DC characters undergo anime transformations, but only Lauren Faust could make DC characters undergo anime transformations with THIS LEVEL OF VISUAL AND TONAL PANACHE
Not her best work...Like this just conflicts with the hero and villian origins. Lauren needs to go back ti creating original work not recycling classics.
@@Psykroids I'm sure she'll have the characters all fleshed out soon enough, starting with Harley Quinn when she and Batgirl find out each other's REAL identities. I'm sure it will make Harleen feel conflicted and decide IF HAVING INSANE VILLAIN FUN IS EVEN REALLY *WORTH* LOSING A BEST FRIEND OVER.
@@VSaber365 You don't get it huh? The classics that these characters had personified was courage commitment and integrity. More and more kids material have strayed from the healthy morals of being good having manners and knowing what is right and wrong and what is silly and serious. Too many shows are being turned around to a looney toons state. Where are all the superheros? Where are all the good men and women? Sailor Moon was an actual superhero in fact the manga had peoppe literally DIE! People's lives were in danger. This show is just...silly. How does this teach kids to be anything better than a clown or a wannabe comedic standup?
@@Psykroids For the simple answer, I'm sure you already know but today's standards of children's cartoons were not like they used to. I can blame Lauren alone for the evolution that is cartoon entertainment because she isnt the only one who has to comply with it. I'm sure she does want to expand to a more mature approach but with today's standards, it's just not possible with the amount of bank she's probably making right now. Money is a pretty evil thing and this is the best she'll get out of it. I hope you can agree though that the budget for these animations aren't chump change! It's really fluent, vibrant, and is more than enough to capture my attention personally.
I'm just sad that they kept her civilian name as Selina Kyle, we could have had the Halle Berry Catwoman's civilian name "Patience Phillips" be brought back in a new way to use the Eartha Kitt Catwoman, but instead they just took Selina Kyle & made her the Black Catwoman, totally missed the opportunity to revive/revamp an obscure character, who could have been brought into the DC Comic Books as someone who took the mantle of Catwoman in a story where Selina tried to give up the role of Catwoman for who knows What reason.
mosamaster it’s a very bat-hero thing to do considering their thing is to fight with martial arts and gadgets rather than showy powers- a practical transformation rather than a more “magical” one
I absolutely love the little music motifs that follow each girl's transformation. They match their personas so well! Livewire: Loud metal notes with lightning booms to show Leslie's attention seeking attitude. Poison Ivy: Soft thermador beats to show her unearthly alien nature to the plant world. Star Sapphire: A powerful booming chorus chanting "YOU WILL LOVE ME!" repeatedly. Giganta: A simple beat that's played at max volume to show Doris' two main traits - her power and dim nature. Catwoman: A changing tune that starts out elegantly for but turns to a villainous tune. Harley Quinn: Sinister circus clown music. 'Nuff said! Wonder Woman: Proud yet soft like a royal coronation, befitting of the princess of Themyscira. Zatanna: Straight from a magical girl anime. Bumblebee: A fast-pace hi-tech beat. Supergirl: Rocking metal that ends on a heroic note to show she is ready to bring her power full force to help. Green Lantern: A gentle remix of the opening theme from Green Lantern TAS. Batgirl: A remix of the classic Adam West Batman theme with subtle nana nana's running through it.
I love the fact they kept the hellish choir that plays when Star Sapphire transforms from Hate Triangle. I swear they wrote the villains in this show so well.
@@punprincess3214 Zatanna's music piece was the toughest one to figure out with its soft chimes repeating melody. I thought it was maybe a shoutout to Magical Girl transformations but I can hear a little bit like what was in Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura in it, but only a little since the melody is so gentle and exciting.
Babs reminded me of the old "Spiderman and his Amazing Friends"- Iceman and Firestar do a cool elemental instant change and Spidey is caveaching about having to pull off his shirt and pants in a dark alley
• Akari •, it used to be a meme. It was like, character development. Or, if someone had a glow up (As in they got way prettier over the summer) like if someone wasn’t as cute that would be the “if you don’t like me at my” then if they got prettier over the summer or like, ya know. That would be the “then you don’t deserve me at my” get it?
Personally it will have work better if she use her classic design for her superhero persona, even have Brown's age design who have work better than the new 52
Batgirl's "transformation" reminds me of this joke transformation sequence for Tuxedo Mask in that live action Sailor Moon show in Japan, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, where he just dramatically pulls his clothes on, ha ha.
So we just gonna ignore the fact that BumbleBee is such a smol and adorable bean Edit: BumbleBee protection squad! Who's with me? You don't have to do much to join uwu, everyone is invited!
I love how the heroes' transformations are just simple and easy. But the villains are basically centered around their whole style and personality and life
Deliberate homage, Zatana and Star Sapphire were clearly thinking "Magical Girl Transformation Activate" when they did their things. Bumble Bee might have been more "Ironman, Suit Up!"
Okay: Livewire: Badass Poison Ivy:Elegant Star Sapphire: 😍😍😍😍😍PERFECTION. Giganta: Awesome Catwoman: Oh thats just perfect Harley Quinn: Pretty good Green Lantern: JESUS CHRIST😍 Bumblebee:Seen it before.... Supergirl: OHMIGOSH Wonderwoman: *intense fanboying* Batgirl: YAS Zatanna: Oh my god its even better Edit: WHY DOES THIS COMMENT HAVE SO MANY LIKES
jersey hidalgo Like if we’re judging by OC’s alone my character would have a lot of trouble taking them all down himself, particularly Giganta , Livewire and Star Sapphire.
If Toei ever wants to liscense their successful Precure franchise then it could work. Probably not any of the older seasons like Futari wa/Max Heart but maybe Heartcatch
@@irrespondible they should have revoked the rights from ocean productions before making a pretty cure dub, so it could be more faithful to the original version, not that it matters to me. Glitter force really wasn't as bad as people made it out to be, and now that hasbro fully owns its maybe we can encourage them to make some merchandise and a new season
"Hey my daughter Barbara is a fan of Batman and Batgirl, and Batgirls hair color is similar to my daughters hair and she sounds just like her, wait...." Jim Gordon
@Will N That was temporary though. Plus it was kinda like the GPD cop's personal Batman because when he was wearing that Bat bot suit and ran into the other bat family members like Robin aka Damian or Red Hood while he was still in Bruce's good graces he told them to scram because they were technically breaking the law as vigilantes while he was a cop.
My only issue is with wonder woman's transformation when she's spinning, how is her hair not getting in her face???? Edit: 2 things, one, why is this getting so much attention? And two, zatanna is literally a magical girl so it made sense why her music was so reminiscent of anime sounding to me.
Bumblebee did Sailor Mercury's final pose her transform was like a metal hero meets magical girl Zee I think did sailor moon but only when she formed her chest broach. The rest was original since zatanna usually doesn't transform anymore in modern comics her distaff sexy version of her dad's outfit became more iconic. He silver age hero costume use here is mostly forgotten until ms.faust brought it back. Batgirl did her Batman '66 transformation and finishing pose WW did the Wonder Woman '78 mixed with her comic transformation with some sailor Venus used to bridge them. Supergirl did the traditional shirt rip with a added reference to the intro of the old paramount Fletcher Superman cartoons but more X-treem fitting this Kara Green Lantern used the traditional transformation but added the boot glove forming segment from the sailor moon transformation sequences where they zoom in on each link as the gloves and heels form. Livewire transformed from her Supergirl tv series look to her superman tas look Poison ivy transformed from Ivy Pepper her first look in the Gotham tv show to her New Batman animated look with the green skin. Star Sapphire has her reformed corps power ring from the current era but forms the original power crown as part of her transformation her dress is inspired by a powerpuff girls had guy but her civilian cheerleader outfit is inspired by the comic outfits. Gigtantia is ripping off the hulk here since she usually stays big or only mass shifts. Catwomen is basically getting in to a updated version of her Batman '66 catsuit her civilian clothes are based on her daughter with Batman from the tv show Birds of prey Huntress Harley Quinn has her New 52 look in civilian form transformed she is in the classic Batman TAS costume Bruce Timm created for her.
My favorite one was from Catwoman Transformation:Classic, simple and discret Soundtrack:AMAZING;PERFECT Background:Wow,dark. It starts purple, but after it's at night. The light on her in the final, perfect match But I like from Green Lantern too, because she makes perfect movements
Heroes: right, we need extremely long intros, showcasing all our powers and making it absolutely clear who we are- Villains: 5 seconds, and make it epic.
I love these transformations!! ESPECIALLY HARLEY’S!!!! 😍😍 They’re filled with so much character!! The only thing is that some of them don’t make much sense in the context of the show.. Not everyone of these characters are magical, so they shouldn’t be able to magically switch to their super suits out of no where 😬 Also the fact that no one can tell the identities of some of these characters EVEN WHEN THEY DONT WEAR A MASK!! Like, not even glasses or anything! They happen to only change their outfit, and suddenly no one can recognize them! It makes the show confusing 😂
Victoria Peay Thank god I haven’t been the only one who noticed. They don’t even at least consider changing the tone of their voices. At least Barbara wears a mask and Bumblebee wears a helmet.
Bee girl is strongest just for not having having a heat stroke. Thick sweater covered with close fitted metal, working up a sweat fighting bad guys on days that most likely arent cold, respect
Livewire can use the Space stone to teleport friends or objects anywhere in the world or in space. Poison ivy can use the Time stone to grow her plants five times faster or evolve them into sentient plant creatures. Star Sapphire can use the Power stone to empower her love for Hal Jordan or to overpower the Green Lantern. Giganta can use the Mind stone to make herself ten times smarter and brainwash people into her mindless slaves. Catwoman can use the Soul stone to give any inanimate object life or give herself nine more lives. Harley Quinn can use the Reality stone to make herself Empress of the world.
@@cameronmorris9868 Ok, that's not how the infinity stones work, they go to those who best represent them otherwise they overpower the user to possibly self-lethal levels. Also, Ivy wouldn't make plants actually sentient since sentient plants tend to hate her.
Now this is what I call unique transformation scenes, all of the characters that have a unique soundtrack to match their powers and personality. Am I right or what!?
