For flash, they are basically saying, being it takes 5 seconds to get out of "quicksand" mode, it may be reduced to like 3 seconds or something. If you accidentally attack mud air, you go into quicksand mode for 5 seconds before returning to normal movement mechanics.
@@jamescoward110 I released a video on it this morning, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j2lju2_QyKI.html at max rank you only save 2 seconds
And apparently they do not want us knowing. I don’t know how many threads regarding this were deleted off the forums.. so…. Something isn’t adding up….
I’m leveling house of legends bot but I’m not rushing it spending money on it. I’m taking my time and doing it with free drops. It doesn’t make sense to spend money on these things rightnow.
Flash doesn’t get you out of combat. His passive lets you return to normal movement mode faster after you use abilities or take damage. You still get his passive in combat. Could help with pickups or getting out of the way. To test this just have someone weapon tap at the same time you do and both of you run forward. If you have flash equipped you will return to fast movement mode faster.
In an actual raid or instance content that won’t work like that you’ll still be in combat from the instance. It’s not like I can strap on flash and get out of combat during Fos2 first boss or get out of combat fighting trigon in coue. I am still bound by combat during an instance
@@ObsidianChill flash passive won’t get you out of combat. That’s not what he does. He just makes it so you return to normal movement speed quicker. You can use normal movement mode in combat.
I really can't see any benefits to these allies at all. seems like a waste of time to me. everyone I know has them and basically want the passive power more than the combat pets
Please keep us informed about allies PLEASE! You have saved EVERYONE ALOT of $$$ That is what will DC to FIX this hot mess of garbage. You make a huge difference thanks and haveagood1
I think you misunderstood Flash's passive ability. It's not the "combat mode" that you're dropping faster but you get back to "full speed" faster. For instance, if an NPC lands an attack on you, your speed is limited and you have to wait a few seconds before being able to run at full speed again. Well, with Flash's passive ability, instead of waiting 3-4 seconds before being able to run / fly at max speed, you'll be able to do it after 1 second. That's it. (Haven't tested in depth like you do so I don't know for the initial time to wait until full speed and the reduced time until full speed but I got Flash's passive and I can tell that when an NPC hits me, I can get away at full speed much faster than before.)
Makes sense...maybe kill an add without Flash on and then try to run away and time how long it takes to return back to full speed. Then run the same test with Flash's passive equipped and time how much quicker you return to full speed. Regardless, this is a super niche passive ability and I'd be surprised if it sticks in anyone's passive abilities slot for that long with better ones either out already or coming in the future. Gimmicky was a very good word used to describe an ability like this. It's a bit disappointing that this is the best they came up with for such an iconic character like Flash.
@@CaptRetro1 Yes this is super easy to test indeed. However, even without any tests you notice the difference quite immediately, the testing part is just to have the numbers on paper. For the rest I do agree, it kinda sucks for Flash to have such a simple minded ability given the character that he is and represents. Although I must admit that this ability might (and I say might) be interesting for non super speed players since it allows you to almost instantaneously get back to full speed. (All my characters are super speed so I can't relate but it could help other people :p )
@@MajinDCUO At the same time that is still useless because in content we will still be grounded by room mechanics or locked into combat. You'll just continue to do the superspeed trick toggling fast travel on and off to move just as fast. We are still bound by the rules of combat in everyday instanced content.
@@ObsidianChill Funny Side Note: Did South Gotham Courthouse the other day and had no trouble flying around the whole place right from the beginning. Two members of the group kept asking, "Is that because of your Ally!?!?!? Which one?!?!" Me: "No. It's just a bug. Relax."
For flash, they are basically saying, being it takes 5 seconds to get out of "quicksand" mode, it may be reduced to like 3 seconds or something. If you accidentally attack mud air, you go into quicksand mode for 5 seconds before returning to normal movement mechanics.
for using flash and zoom with improved stealth your movement is greatly increased.... might not be any use to anything....also i believe it increases skill speeds.
Lack of clarity is a huge problem. It makes people like me refuse to even touch Allies. Why should I spend resources with no clue what I'm getting. Just dumb. And why are they so unclear? If I had to guess, it's so they can nerf these at any time and nobody will be able to prove it.
I knew this system was gonna be a massive issue. Nothing new in this game ever comes out flawlessly, always take these devs months to years to get systems smooth and nerf/buff and even release more allies. By then hopefully we'll still have a population to play with lol
At this point I'm hoping enough people see sense and leave this game alone, so they'll just kill it and be done. Devs have constantly shown they really don't care about anything except squeezing as much money as they still can out of people without giving them anything that's actually worth it. I've previously spent a shit ton on this game, and regret it all now, but it is what it is.
I think I'm going to take a very, very long break from this game. If I ever come back it's because they fixed PvP, made a style I want or give us new abilities to existing powersets. I'm officially DCUO drained right now and these decisions have been hurting my enjoyment of the game personally.
Just like the rest of this update, the allies launch has been a complete and utter joke. Imagine spending all of that money to level up an ally, and finding out that levels 7-10 don't even work properly.
I witnessed Oracle (rank 3) repair my gear from 95 to 100 Zoom's passive is so incredibly disappointing, I was hoping to, I don't know, ZOOM! I can tell a difference with Cyborg's power return, all but eliminating power trolls I'm not even gonna waste my money on legendary allies, I'm content with mine so far
Calc bot heal is actually based on health not resto. I've tested it with my tank adding sp into resto till I hit max resto. The healing never changed. When I added sp into health the healing was increased. Maybe when you tested it by adding artifacts you also got health too that's why you got more healing. If you go by just the one stat and not increase more then one with arts you can see what stat effected it.
When you talking about heals you have to think about your restoration buff, the computer registers that as a factor to unknowingly. The better your restoration the better you heal yourself and others. So I'm pretty sure it's like Batman heal on top of how good your restoration is. Prolli has to be tested thoe.
I get they need to make money and I’m sure they have a lot going on as far as creating new episoddes and update for next gen but I think they could have did something different. Like creating huge mansion lairs and charge big money. I would have def bought all of them.
The flash Passive was one thing i thought should have been a normal feature the higher the CR gap was from an NPC or Player - I for one hate the fact I roam Gotham or Metro open world and run past an npc CR 5, it targets me and hits me and my movement speed is slowed, thats when i scream atop my lungs "Get F'D DC Devs!"
@@kimberlin6568 eh money in dcuo is a joke to come by, this past weekend I spent probably 900mil on collections and leveling op back(lvl 15) and op hands (lvl 9) Got down to 1.7mil and by time I logged out I had another 90-100mil
@@kimberlin6568 that and from what chill was saying about oracle is you would have to have her maxed out and it would still take around 30 minutes to repair your gear from 0 to 100
could be wrong but it would make more sense if flash's passive was decreasing the time it takes to return to normal speed after using a weapon atk or super power if you get what im saying.
Ty for this info seriously bro, keep up the amazing work with the spreadsheets and clips, it's all helpful and that's what you ain to do is help so just let haters sip haterade and you do you! Thx again
Thanks for the video! Appreciate you going back into that well of frustration (lol) and putting out these updated numbers and insight. Always look forward to your videos.✌
I think this vid is funny how around the end he goes this ain't workin that ain't workin they ain't listenin to the community at all or they ain't relyin the correct info to the community and so isn't the community so now idc what anyone say I just don't care but ain't you same the guy besides nerd of prey who ruined dc tbh you had a few problems with me on the forums before on how some stuff I posted such as tact mods rework which it needs and you know that more then anyone it does they out of date but that's not the point here so we'll leave that be but my point I'd that they ain't ever really been for the community the devs only focus on money ik most companies do but dc made so much money from TCS Arts Cr Skips Mats and they mostly only focus on releasing mats especially chroma mats like tf
From what I seen, flash passive effects the amount of dash clicks it takes to get to top speed if you are in combat, sort of if you move to next add set and an add is just about dead.
his star level dictates the damage he deals and the passive seemed to add anywhere between 1-5 hits, while that could be testing bias it does support what was mentioned first on the forums, I can only assume it never changed.
21:30 you said source marks but isn’t it just based on your generator cell levels? (the 3 battery things, lithium, ionic, hydrogen cells that cost cash)
@@noahfloah8568 oh I see what you mean, I was originally told it was the other section of the mainframe generator the supply drop/tac mods/orbital/henchmen etc if you keep that generator above 50% then its always active. Maybe it's changed, that was just the information I had when allies first hit test server
I like your videos but from what i have had experience with is alot of the community says your content is a joke and not accurate. Why is this? I rather like your content.
Jealousy and hatred because I’m not afraid to go after things that are broken and get them fixed or call out speed hackers in the community. There isn’t a Chanel where you’ll find more accurate content whether it be testing or dps or guides on RU-vid.
So they’ve added this new system, but I’ve just checked the forums and the same complaints from the same powers from when I quit months ago are still being brought up. What are your thoughts on the state of the powers, especially given that they are releasing these new systems without fixing old problems? Sorcery healing, nature and atomic dps, ice dps issues, all issues I’ve seen for a long time and other than a few forums posts that get no attention, no one seems to really care (that I’ve seen). Do you believe focusing attention on powers should be a priority? If so would you consider doing a video on it?
one of their next focuses will be redoing all the dps supercharges which should see some balance changes with regards to powers. Any more than that would have to wait until they have hired more staff and they are brought up to speed on the game.
I still wish you tested out flash -.- just punch the air. Then equip flash on and punch the air again to see how fast you get out of combat. Because it can be really useful for non speedsters.
in an actual instance like an alert or raid or even a duo its ability is worthless to you as a player. So you would get out of combat a couple seconds faster after your group has already killed the boss that was keeping you in combat? what helpfulness is that to a player. It's just like zoom, what purpose does running faster serve any role when it doesn't work in combat? It's just a gimmick ability and both flash and zoom were heavily adjusted in damage so even the blue rares deal more damage than flash and zoom.
@@ObsidianChill The usefulness is for example… for Tanks they won’t have to be superspeed all the time they can be flight or Acrobatic. Depending on how fast the movement is. Also the flash passive can be used as convenience in my personal opinion. And also lets say pvp arena (if they ever update it) and it depends if allies r effective in arena pvp. It would be really usefull. But im thinking to far into it.
@@Ericdj15 acro is already better than superspeed for tanks though, there are plenty of raids that ground you making dash attack useless and perfect poise is the much better option for supercharge. If it wasn’t for the dps side of superspeed I was be acro for every tank class
I was very excited for this update to come out, but it seems to be an unmitigated disaster. Queue times are still ridiculous and the daily log in rewards still aren't enough. It all just seems useless. It has caused me to not even log in anymore. I hope they do something to revitalize this game.
