Hey man very helpful video. I just have one question, I'm really comfortable with dual pistols in terms of combs and all that could I use them instead of the recommendations?
@ObsidianChillDCUO sincerely, thank you for all of the work that you put in! I may not always build my characters the same way as you but I always get amazing tips from you. Your walkthrough videos of episodes also help me be a better player in those instances where groups may not help out players learn the mechanics. Thanks again!
Till this day I still wish they never changed this power from precision to what we see now. That being said still here to see how things change and what builds work. Great vid as always.
Got a switch lite for my daughter. Gonna make the change for this and Warframe. Other consoles have been too long since I played. Plus I can take the lite wherever I go. Just waiting for black desert or something similar
I'm just getting back into this game and your vids have been extremely helpful! I have been wondering what the styles are on your toons. Specifically this one and the one in your Fire DPS video
Great and informative as always OC. Thank you. Question. For the ranged loadout you referred to powered mini gun. Do you mean clicking the actual power on your bar as opposed to comboing into it from another power? Is the tray power stronger than the combo version?
To think I use to do the whole jump clipping thing back in 2011/2012, watching this video I'm sitting here thinking 'naw man that's too much effort to just dps' guess that's why I dont DPS anymore 😂
Am I the only one who finds the hard light extremely penalized to make this rotation with the strats in COUe? It is just if I can make a rotation or use a spell with the constraint of the lantern, that makes us lose a lot of dps... I'm not sure if the Daybreak developers are aware that some powers have different gameplay...
Now what I'm about to say applies to the non ss loadout as I don't have as and don't use superspeed. Anyway If you ain't good at clipping or you just wanna have an easy chill time and be lazy lol... Just use light weight strike and spam chainsaw, clipping the last hit of the saw with saw again, and hit lightweight whenever dazed wears off. It's comparable damage and when it crits it hits even harder than this (non ss) and it's super easy to do. Now I do have a super clippy LO that is pretty similar to yours but If you want easy mode good damage do what I said up there. The reason I use lightweight strike instead of chompers is cuz the super charge build up for neo venom spam as well.
Just in case this gets seen; I'm curious why you don't use the Entrap encase healing debuff for Troll loadout? That's literally the only difference to my build. The amount of times I've yeeted a boss closer to its objective (like when you have to carry them to a poin) is hilarious. It's also wonderful for changing melee when you have all debuffs and your power buff active. Tho for bosses my usual rotation is: Encase> Light Blast> Light weight> Power Buff > Encase>hold range/melee>spam combos until lightweight is almost ready again>repeat!
@@ObsidianChill it doesn't. Just as hp doesn't buff my weapon/power buff as you say it does in the end. If I use encase, and the enemy gets hit, by literally anything, damage number appears and it rolls for a second and is immediately broken. I can use light blast, a tap ranged sheild hit, calculators aoe, the number will appear, and they will roll, and it breaks.
@@ObsidianChill Melee?! I have never even seen an electricity melee LO, so i just made one with dervish, well alright, something to look forward to then.
Hi @ObsidianChillDCUO :) I have some questions, can you help me? In your power upgrades, you usually use the superspeed tornado in "Might Melee." Does the flying tornado work too? Or is the cry in the area of representative powers better? In my character I use flight movement because it is more comfortable for me and for this I do not have the power of the super speed tornado, what is better to put if I do not have that power? It would help me a lot if you answer me, because I don't know much about the importance of that power :)
If your group has two buff trolls, and both are using Claw, Rao, Tetra for artifacts does the might buff stack? If it doesn't stack, would it then be useless to have more than one buff troll in a group?
What do you recommend for the other generator mods aside from the Affinity mods, (and aside from the red ones which I assume aare all Might), but what do you put in the Yellow and the Blue slots?
Here's my question since I really trust ur opinion chill...I'm ice prec max cr 200's etc and been thinking about switching powers what would u say is a good choice?
Hi there, i just came back playing, i have a light character, but it's using flight instead of super speed, what powers should i get then ? I can't create another light character, i'm not paying at the moment
Any Might based dps not using channels like Dervish+Vortex or Heat vision+Finisher becomes very power hungry and buff trolls can't really keep up with power given.
@@ObsidianChill Nah,I was just pointing that channels are most power efficient superpowers and kinda a must. Your suggested loadouts are pretty on point. The only thing I do a bit different is milking ST rotation with occasional Light Blasts because of power issues. Also using Energized Light Blast head mod for same reason. Melee rotation is perfection.
@@ObsidianChill Ive got HOL Bot for single target and 2/3 leveled Batman who laughs for now. Kinda hesitating on leveling Cyborg just for power but I will unless there is a new good meta Legendary ally introduced in near future. Edit: Actually what seems to help the most is despawning RST or having lv200 Grim but I dont for now.
This is what I do here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lXRGVZwr7A8.html a little bit harder as PS as you'll need a friend to help but if you are PC, really easy
@@ObsidianChill I’m struggling to find a rotation I like after the devs removed clipping which is what actually made hard light really fun. I had a league of 2500 characters from 2012-2014 but w literally all agreed to stop playing after all the nerfing they did. I’m back after 6 years and literally no other players have come back to the game since 2014, I can’t blame them. Hard light feels lame now, gadgets & muni with low arts are easily out-damaging me with my 180 arts. The game lacks any balance whatsoever.
@@dangerdave4626 that is interesting if it wasn't in the SG vendor either, you could take a peak at the quark vendor but usually that is just the TC artifacts which Grim wasn't. Curious
@@ObsidianChill yeah I though about that also so I went to see if it was there and it wasn't there either so I'm not sure if you can't get it again or there is something wrong
omfg what is with all these builds using icon powers i get it they are good but ffs sake some of us like out power theme and dont want to be a knockoff of the main character, now how tf do u make a good light build without using icon powers like goddamn or did this game just get shttier while i was gone
Players tend to focus on builds that deal good damage rather than themed builds that preform poorly. You don’t have to run HV on single target or dervish on melee if you want to keep it light themed. Just switch out another ability
Thanks alot bro also do you have quintile crystals i could get of you for a decent price cuz brokers like 10 mill for 1 is bs lol If so my toon is DraxDrax
It does very well for damage but it is the highest power cost out of any dps power so the issue is most times you won’t have the power to do the max dmg, especially on single target
only lasts 6 seconds and has no crowd control effect. Some players may find it fun and a different playstyle but it won't help as much as claw-rao-parasite-tetra/cog
1 proc of la mort if the group doesn't wipe vs 100's of procs of Strategist card? Buffed might + buff troll helps strat, does nothing for la-mort. La-mort can miss the crit, strat you have 4 chances to crit every time.
@@OcToKiLa it has to be one power op for example o dont see any quamtum dps top doing damage always electrics and i want to be troll/dps but idk wich power is better i heard gadgets and mental but i want to know more
@@kyroskyorafamily715 your best option is gadgets. The damage is ridiculous and gadgets somehow has always been a top tier power through EVERY update, no matter how many nerfs it receives or what other powers are buffed. Gadgets is also considered the best troll power overall so you really can’t go wrong with choosing gad. HL and Munitions I’d say are next in the damage department, with Muni probably just squeaking out HL in terms of dmg. HL is considered to be the weakest troll tho due to its lack of a detaunt and awkward debuff powers/combos. Munitions is above HL in terms of trolling but it’s just okay, it’s no quan or gadgets. Mental and Quan are about what in what I’m terms of damage, depending on who you ask you’ll get different answers on which one is the weakest overall, but out of the troll powers they are definitely the bottom 2. As far as the controller role goes, they are pretty much right under Gad. Quan I would say is the “funnest” troll tho given it’s unique powers and teleport, and Quans stuns are a little better than the rest of the powers. All in all if you’re looking for damage I’d choose between Gadgets or Muni (or HL if you’re into lanterns, that’s my power on my main and I do pretty well on the score charts). If you’re looking to mainly troll, I’d go with Gad or Quan (maybe Mental). But with all this being said, no of the powers are TERRIBLE at trolling, some just have a few more quirks that make it slightly better, the real discrepancy is the dmg each power does. So yeah if you just want the best of both worlds Gad is your best bet.
@@kyroskyorafamily715 Obsidian made a guide on it, I’d just copy his it’s pretty straightforward. Gadgets has a good detaunt, Battle Drone is a great group shield and has a 30 sec cooldown (which makes it great for SC spam groups) unlike HL’s Group Shielding which is 60. It has really good crowd control powers, as well as multiple PI setups meaning you can benefit multiple dps at once (I.e Gad can apply daze, elec, and burning whereas other powers like HL can only apply daze). It’s an excellent battle troll. It has some pretty cool invisibility load outs. Etc Etc. It’s just really really good overall. Only reason I haven’t switched to it is because I’m in love with anything Lantern based lol, otherwise I’d be Gadgets myself tbh.
