@@IndianOverlander I’ll run the Maxxis 245/75/16 itself . Happy with the sweet spot now. Great for steering and off-road also. Don’t want to upsize too much unless the lifted truck asks for it. Let’s see 🤠will exchange notes with you 👍
I think what Dinesh has done though gives a superb truck like stance, its probably not for everyone. Its good for people who do offroading regularly. But for someone only wanting the stance but drives mostly on road, they probably could opt for the lift kit with 18" wheels with tyres that are more road biased unlike MT you guys use. But hats off to you guys who experiment with your SUVs, your research will help alot of owners and may even swing a few in favour of Gurkkha over its competitors.
Hi bro . I have found something interesting. If you replace front bumper with force cruiser bumper , it will improve the front view and the design will be more proportionate. The vehicle will have boulder look.

If you do this mod, please do a detailed installation vedio and review of how it worked out to be! If you get a chance, please also take this lifted Gurkha to the same off-road trail to which you took your gurkha! Would love to watch it crushing the off-road trails! Thank you for posting these videos. I also feel changing the company fitted fenders with flared fenders as shown in monster grurkha during auto expo will solve the fender touching problem and it will also enhance the looks to a great extent! Another Gurkha brother has also done a mod to solve this issue. The Stance 🤩 Will this lift kit and big tyres affect the performance and the mileage of the vehicle? Also increasing the height is how safe in mountain corners ? Reply is highly appreciated:)
The width of tyres and offset of alloys do provide stability but its a tall car so not made for zipping around corners. Will have to take the hill roads at normal pace and steadily. The width, diameter and weight of the tyres along with the change in drag coefficient caused by a higher vehicle will all contribute to a drop in fuel efficiency. Its a trade off between performance or economy. The same lift kit with less aggressive tyre modifications may be more suitable if looking to preserve economy but will not give the same performance benefits that DCV has extracted from his Gurkha.

10 inches of total ground clearance now. Not 10 inches of lift. His Gurkhas ground clearance now is around 10.8 inches (270 mm) compared to mine which is around 7.5 inches. So he has gained 3 inches of total lift.
To be honest the lift kit has been on my Radar for a long time. If the feedback of DCV about the kit is good after a month or two of use then i will surely go for it. Nothing like peace of mind while offroad on rocky trails. My Fortuner had a lifted suspension from Ironman and it was the best decision i ever made!
Is it legal to lift? Challan to Nahi hota in city like Delhi ? Also, do you face any trouble in parking in basement such as mall underground parking, going through tunnels etc ?
Any alteration to a motor vehicle has been deemed illegal by the Hon'bl Supreme Court. But u dont think cops may be able to make out the difference between a lifted and non lifted Gurkha. Both are tall vehicles. After lift kit installation many mall underground parkings will be out of bounds. Tunnels will bot be an issue as many buses and trucks also use them.

@@AnandamBharat Thar ka bhi fixed glass hai lekin usme BIMBRA se kich logon ne karaya hai. Waise 1 saal se upar ho gaya hai Gurkha chalate aur peeche ke glass fixed hone se koi problem aayi nahi hai.
Gurpreet bhai woh toh ab DCV report denge ki kya hua hai. Waise yeh Lift Kit South india mein kaafi Gurkha mein successfully test ho gaya hai. Force Motors ke bhi inputs hain iski development mein. Mujhe unofficially bola bhi hai ki agar main kit lagwana chahta hun toh lift kit laga sakta hun. Axle ka angle bohot hi kamm change hua hai kyunki tyres bhi bade lage hain

It remained surprisingly light even with the 285 75 16 tyres. I personally do not recommend these size tyres. The ideal size is 245 75 16 (30.5 inch)or 235 85 16 (31.7 inch)
@@apnagaon6498 no negative feedback as such. But my experience over 3 decades has shown me that wider tyres are not always the best solution. They increase load on the drivetrain, increase unsprung weight, contribute to higher fuel consumption and are more expensive among other reasons.
Actually it looks amazing and feels very normal to drive. The lift kit along with the 285 75 16 tyres gives it about 3 inches of lift. I will use 265 75 16 if and when i do upgrade.
I've been using Radar Renegade RT plus for 10 months. They are not noisy like MT tyres. Have made a video about these tyres also and their advantages over AT and MT tyres. Please do watch it.
Steel bumpers are positively illegal. They are not airbag compliant. No need for steel/ metal bumpers with the lift kit in Gurkha. Just need fender lining and very little bumper trimming to fit large tyres like 285. For 265 width tyres even bumper trimming will not be required. Warranty should ideally not be affected by installing this lift kit. Metal bumpers may affect warranty.
Isn't the Gurkha Extreme with 3 inch body lift legal? His Gurkha is now around then same ground clearance as the Gurkha Extreme. In any case he has done it more out of necessity than for showing off. I don't understand why normal functional mods are targeted when they pose no hazard.
I doubt cops will be able to understand the difference 🤦♂️ hoping all goes well. Having said that, looking forward for a detailed review from DCV on how it performs initially and in the long run.
