One of the most important aspects of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is the close collaboration between developers and domain experts to ensure the right thing is built.
Domain Modeling allows us to explore the business domain at hand such that Bounded Contexts for relevant business subdomains can be defined. The close exchange between domain experts and developers also allows the creation of a Ubiquitous Language for each identified Bounded Context.
However, the question remains how we can explore the business domain effectively such that both developers and domain experts profit maximally and the eventual software artifact does what it is supposed to do.
In this session, we will explore the domain of a fictional business by applying the Event Storming method. We will show how Bounded Contexts can be derived using this method, and will represent gained domain knowledge as code in our interpretation of Clean Architecture.
