when the name is having fixed length in that time we can use char, where as in the name is not fixed that means if user entering the name some ones name contains 4 characters and some ones name more than 4 characters in that time.. the length is not fixed..so we can use the varchar(varying)
The char is a fixed-length character data type, the varchar is a variable-length character data type. Because char is a fixed-length data type, the storage size of the char value is equal to the maximum size for this column. ... You can use char when the data entries in a column are expected to be the same size.
why DO we use INT COMMAND WE CAN use NUMBER COMMAND on above functionality when your placing such data type u can use number data type its easy to process
I think you are going to run some mathematical query with phone number i.e. list numbers ending in xx or starting from yy and ending to xx. or list number having xyz in middle of the numbers.
Please put like class 1, class2 then only we can found easily otherwise it is difficult to find for freshers because we don't no about sql then how can we found this is class1 or class 2
