Did 6 of this build in a row and was great to learn the quests without worrying about mana. It also can use heal scrolls in heroics and doing so you can be usefull to any low reaper group. Not as fun as a sorcerer or paladin with adrenaline and smite but way more well rounded for any group.
Hey man I found your channel recently. I played DDO when it first came out up until 2009 or so. This quarantine brought me back in. When I left level cap had just been upped to 20 and half orcs and monks were the new thing. I've been watching your videos and have built a wolf druid and fire sorcerer per your guides . They have worked out unbelievably well thanks to your recommendations. Already lvl 17 with druid and lvl 8 with Sorcerer. Thanks. Do you have any for a Paly? I built one before I found your channel but he kinda sucks. Keep it up. I've really benefited from your channel, Im surprised its not bigger.
Love the guide vid, been mostly playing Auralock through Fey or Fiend but this is making me want to give a shot at playing this build. Unrelated question: I notice that a lot of pally/cleric builds take proficiency in bastard swords..... I'm unsure as to what bonuses/perks come out of this and was wondering what's the pros and cons of taking this over something else like force of personality or whatnot. Cheers, RiceKing
I went with Fiend and the 'Flamecleansed Fury' set from Sharn. The bracers from that set give devotion and healing lore. Then the cores from Scholar have really nice crit damage. Heal amp isn't too high, only 115 at lvl 30 on my warlock. So i'm sitting at a nice 53% positive crit chance, 125 crit damage (part comes from draconic cores) and with around 600 devotion cocoon crits for 1k-1200. Steal life force heals me for 900. On reaper i wouldn't recommend it, but for EE and lower it's really nice.
Very very similar to Zehnpai's Acid Warlock build that's been out for a while now. I had an extremely fun time leveling and playing my warlock this way. The only downside is I'm first life and have problems against spells and dying xD Still the most fun I've had while leveling to level 20 on a character in DDO.
I prefer Fey as sonic has even less immune enemies compared to acid plus not healing golems. Dark delirium is really good to stop fear reaper etc. with no save stun. Also cc and own leap ability are neat.
So far celestial has been pretty fun. Imo, the new warlocks packs are really flavourful and interesting. They aren't better than fiend pact, which is to be expected, but they are have unique and interesting abilities. Really the only one that isn't that good is the abyss, and that's just because of how many monsters (undead and constructs, like 65%+ of the monsters in ddo) are immune to negative damage.
I personally don't because if there are traps in a quest I can't avoid I just avoid the quest instead.If you have the skillpoints and want to put the intelligence in, then a level or 2 of rogue will make traps easier for sure, you will just have less up front damage so things will take a little longer.
Character idea, Tiefling Longbow Paladin of Silver Flame (Sacred Defender tree ) / Ranger (Arcane Archer tree) Undead as favored enemy. What would the pros and cons of this build be?
The eldrich blast is ok in general for warlocks. But major good for eldrich knights due to CRTs and weapon booning. So when playing hex on warlock. It's strongly about those black bolts. And then run Intel. So if you alter your primary from charisma go intel for base dc. It's more effective to cast black bolts than eldrich blasts free of costs, having 2/4 added curses. I know fever and boil can be chosen... I don't. Because pillorus rain and darkness reduce con and add fevers. So I choose boiling blood to reduce str and dex to targets and then I choose blind. Because blinding someone for 3 bolts and focusing strikes nearly acts as permanent blind on targets.
This is off topic but I was hoping some could help. When I use the ddo crafter is see that level 34 items are craftable. With some research I discovered that a level 30 character can wear a level 34 crafted item. I just can't figure out how to craft a level 34 item. The crafting station only allows me to craft a level 30 shard. Thanks in advance
You can't anymore, this was changed in update 50. Level 34 items will be craftable again once the level cap increases. All existing level 34 items were bumped down in power level to level 30
Strim. Is this still valid info? Have 3 iconic blade forged pally lived to knock out for the x2 rewards and con then epic past life grind is next. Wondering if this info is still valid?
That is correct. Metamagic feats like maximize and empower do not work on your eldritch blast, they only work on the spell like abilities from the enhancement trees. The build I am presenting to you recommends: -Stricken -Consume -Eldritch Wave All of those abilities are effected by metamagic feats, which is why you take them.
I Think Warlock is quite the easy mode to level. Fast Fun Fingers!! XD However I wonder why you are going pure on these lives that are simply for Heroic/Racial TRing at 20. I would pick up like a level of arti/rogue at 1 and then self trap if I'm solo or without another trapper. There's a slew of things I would consider taking a small splash with. Paladin for those juicy saves (thought it would lock your pact) Sorc/FvS for some spellpower. Bard so you could sacrifice yourself for better loot for your party. SO MANY OPTIONS!! ^,^
Believe me you have no idea how to build solid lock... I was the most op lock on server and able to solo every quest on highest diff and some raids, this guide is just for newbies. Say hi to Jergall from Cannith 😂
Wish I had read your comment. Currently have this build at 18 and CAN"T WAIT to hit 20 to LR him into something viable. it is ok until about 13-15 then becomes a piece of trash.
Well, screw this game! The action bars are so small that I can't play this. And the movement is so damn clunky that ever a rpg like Dragon Age Origins moves better. What a shame as Ive been a dungeon master since the late 70s
