Thank you for this amazing review. I just purchased road angel 🇬🇧 and it's basically a Ddpai with a different name. There are no videos of the road angel halo ultra yet in the UK as it's brand new from the brand but it's exactly as the ddpai you've shown in the video. So thanks 😊

Would it make sense to run the hardwire into a power bank and then plug in the camera? That way the camera can stay on and run longer without messing with your battery.

They definitely need to work more on the app, so that we can use all the potential from this thing… Because now in this state it’s just “acceptable” and Im kinda disappointed with that for it’s price (130$) definitely waiting for more features from it.

Dial, you review a lot of dash cams. What do you recommend for someone who wants a low profile dash cam? I’m leaning towards those rear view mirror cams but after watching this one I’m unsure now. Any recommendations is appreciated.

It has held up in my RAV4 parked outside this summer. I am in Southern California. I did mount it behind the safety camera just in front of the rear view mirror so its not baking in the sun. Bonus it makes it almost invisible from the outside.

Beware: Ddpai uses cheap garbage super capacitors that die within a year. Their cameras are only rated for 158 degrees F which is easily reached with an outside temperature of 80 degrees. Just lazy engineering. 2021 and no one can make a dash came with an external replacaeble capacitor. The 1940's are calling. They want their Ddpai camera back.

Yes, date/time set by GPS. You can also transfer the video file by connecting to computer with the USB C port.

Thanks for such informative video, I am in need to buy a dashcam for my new car and have some doubts regarding DDPAI Z40 and 70MAI A500S. I will really appreciate if you answer the following questions. 1. DDPAI has capacitor while 70MAI has lithium battery ? 2. We should choose capacitor over lithium ? 3. Replacement batteries are easily available and easy to change ? 4. Any Dashcam has feature to record time-lapse while driving (not in Parking mode) ?

I will answer your questions in a general sense and not specific to those 2 dashcam models. 2. A dashcam using a capacitor is better than rechargeable battery because it's much more reliable and has wider working temperature. 3. Replacing the rechargeable battery inside a dashcam is not always easy depending on the design, and also finding the exact battery to replace can be difficult. 4. You should not do time lapse recording while driving (and most dashcams don't allow this) since you want the best video recording to capture any incidents that might happen on the road.

@@dial2fast Just 1 last question, for example in DDPAI Mola N3 DASHCAM we have super capacitor instead of lithium battery so can we replace it in case of any failure and how much life this super capacitor has ?
