I do! He’s a nice fundamentally sound player who’s going to allow us a lot of switchability. He’s not a flashy pick but he’s the type of guy you need for a championship run
Gunna be watching a whole lot if Atlanta Hawks Basketball again this year! Was hyped to see my boy Trae get there, now he's got himself a team this upcoming year 👀🔥
ACC defensive player of the year, the Hawks also got the best center in the draft and cam reddish. John Collins is gonna have alotta support in the paint.
Lakers cant go wrong with culver or hunter. I would still like cam reddish as well. Those are my 3 preffered in order. And there are more interesting players as well.
*Atlanta just traded up for this guy* Edit: *Hunter is legit - nice jumper, nice hops, won a ring* Atlanta better hope no one steals him because he's ready to contribute now.
GODFATHERLO I’m calling it rn as it is. He’s a great player but will never be the guy to take Atlanta to championship contention. De’Andre Hunter will become a bust in the sense he never turns into the player the Hawks need him to be to actually win the championship. He can still be a great 3 and D player but not the guy that will take them to the next level. The guy that will allow them to be playoff contenders is Cameron Reddish
@@stevenciervo7384 Good thoughts, but let's just agree to disagree on some of this, because I don't see him being a bust - that's a little harsh don't ya think? I see glimpses of #KawhiLeonard and #Jordan with a sprinkle of #Kobe and #DramondGreen because he's a great defender as well. As developed as he'll get coming out of college - two years plus a redshirt. He's got that championship pedegree as well, scoring 27 in this year's ncaa championship game. I don't know what else you can ask for. He does need to work on his left hand, passing in traffic, and his dribble though, but further development will come. His jumper is more developed than Reddish - IMO BTW - high release and fully extended. Bottomline: I 💙 Atlanta moving up in the draft to get him. I believe this move will pay dividends in contrast to his rookie contract. I think he will be an intrical piece to them becoming a good team, along with Reddish and Trae Young. - I can't promise you that Atlanta will win a 🏆 in the next 10-15 years, but I could say the same for most other teams. So, no, I don't believe he will be "the" #1 option, but I've said that for a lot of other players as well who've gone on to be stars in the NBA. *At the end of the day I believe he will develop into a good role player with Atlanta*
Definitely see the similarity i can also see him as harrison barnes tho. Hopefully he goes to a franchise that can help him develop hes got all the tools to be really good player.
im between culver and hunter as well... culver shot looks amazing in highlights.. but hunter is just more efficient. Both great defenders and culver is a year younger... but you cant teach height. I think there is more of a 50/50 chance this pick gets traded... but I would take hunter over culver.. but not by much
Buom tut And that’s why the Lakers will continue to be fucking terrible this isn’t the same franchise that Jerry Buss ran and people need to wake up and realize that.
Rob TheGreat De’Andre Hunter will become a bust in the sense he never turns into the player the Hawks need him to be to actually win the championship. He can still be a great 3 and D player but not the guy that will take them to the next level. The guy that will allow them to be playoff contenders is Cameron Reddish
He has an old fashiones bball game so thank God. He plays the post mainly but can also go out. Has a little kawhi leonard in him i took notice immediately. Like kawhi he's very mechanical but thats cool. He has a motor and plays both sides of the floor. He shares the ball as well. Will be a nba champion by 30.
@@marcuschapple1019 what sucks about having lebron on your team is that draft picks get taken away because of trades to get him more help and I hope the lakers don't trade any draft picks away because of lebron and this is coming from a cavs fan I'm kinda glad lebron isn't on the cavs so we don't have to trade draft picks to get him some help
This guy sadly wouldve never been a option in that case. I think this pic also can repair the loss of randle if we take either him or culver . Cam reddish could be a steal for someone
I hope he still left when my cavs are up to select in the nba draft if not then I guess we'll either go with culver or reddish or garland since the cavs said it won't matter what position the player plays
@@judahbaruch9355 good. More power to em. But lebron and AD plus another semi star will crush these guys hands down. I may be wrong but I highly doubt it. Hate losing Ingram but hey, it is what it is. Best of luck to us all.
*Exact height wingspan except for the hand size Kawhi similarities. I see a lot of Rodman smoothness glide in his stride in the paint and how he uses his body BUT how big is his heart is the only limiting factor and what is his vise?*
He would start off as a 3 and D guy... and could develop into something more like Kawhi.. obviously prob not that good.. but a similar game. This guy is virtually bust proof. and also has an all-star ceiling.. he would be the "smart" pick at #4... but I could see people falling in love with some of the other guys potential.. but that usually gets teams in trouble... not looking at the player.. looking at what they hope they can be
The Lakers need to remember that DeAndre Hunter did what he did in Tony Bennetts system. On another team you could conservatively add another 5ppg to his average
what is his preffered position if sg this kid will play bully ball cuz Culver in the other side is more a shot creating and defensive side i think Rj Barret is the most fit for Bron but this too will be a good pick up too for the LA
Hunter is by far the safest lottery pick (outsize of Zion, Morant). Anyone who says underrated doesn't know basketball. He is way better than Malcolm Brogdon who people also clowned on for being "boring"...he ended up NBA rookie of the year '17.
@RobTakeOff Maybe, but i'm just jealous the knicks didn't pick this guy. His game is impressive and he's a great defensive player and he's got a high motor. He looks unstoppable.
Not wanna hate but ppl seem to overhyped him to be the safest and most mature out the top 3 picks but ppl seem to forgot what Wesley Johnson can do before entering the draft that is probably the most realistic comparison I ever see. But who knows if his work ethic will be the difference
Why the fuck are there Laker fans that want to sign Vuc. He’s gonna be looking for the max. Fuck that He finally only recently had a breakout season in a contract year? See a correlation here?
FOT2010 you’re a fucking idiot. Klay Thompson a lockdown defender & one of best shooters of all time? He’s played more meaningful minutes in one quarter than Kuzma in an entire season. James Harden the MVP? Had an entire season leading the league in points & assists? His defense is STILL terrible no matter your comparison, He still can’t make plays for himself or anyone else for that matter no matter your comparison, & atleast Brandon Ingram is TWO whole ass years younger and still the better player, same with Tatum. You don’t know basketball, 6’9 Jordan Clarkson dick rider man lay off the dog food 💀
stro just stop bro. You’re making a complete fool of yourself. You’ll run like a little bitch and go into hiding when KUZ balls out next season. Ingram is trash and Tatum is overrated. You’ll learn...maybe.
Great athleticism/ great at slashing to the basket but has a slow release not much of a 10-15 ft face up game, average passer. Has potential over time but the Lakers need to win now. Package that 4th pick in a trade for AD?
Hell yeah. How cool would it be to say once a cavalier always a cavalier. Dude is a baller for sure. Being at 5 I'd be happy with him or Culver for sure.
@Trey God it's not my job to help you understand a joke, who would watch a video about a person and not know who he is? It says his name on the video...
Tony Kim but who knows, maybe New York or Memphis dont want Ja Morant or RJ Barrett. LA need a scorer who can create and make plays. They should focus on this rather than thinking which freeagent allstar they can sign this summer.
Deeper draft than people think. Garland can be a Kyrie. Hunter can be similar to Kawhi. Culver can be similar to Butler, Reddish maybe Paul George. Hayes is a Capela/J.Allen. There is talent everywhere.
