Sasria is proud to announce its partnership with Santam, Cape Winelands District Municipality, Breede Valley Municipality, Western Cape Government and former Springbok great Bryan Habana, for bringing much-needed change to the community of De Doorns.
In 2019 Sasria partnered with Santam on their programme, Partnership for Risk and Resilience (P4RR) Programme, this initiative is aimed at capacitating municipalities to better deal with risks encountered and bring about some very positive and essential changes in communities.
Since its inception over two years ago, the total investment ploughed back into communities has amounted to over R3 million with the funds channelled towards Education, Life Skills and Food Security.
Some of the highlighted initiatives birthed from the P4RR Programme in Ehlanzeni and Cape Winelands District Municipality include:
- Establishment of a customer care programme for clinic staff together with a community engagement, programme for councillors and officials,
- Two fully refurbished youth centres in Bushbuckridge and Lydenburg,
- Early childhood development educator training,
- Life skills programmes; and
- A hydroponic gardening project.
A Community Multipurpose Resource Centre has been launched in the De Doorns community in order to bring about much-needed assistance to navigate through challenges faced by this community and to be a catalyst for change. To name a few, services that will be provided at this
multipurpose centre include health education and lifeskills training. This facility has also been set up to benefit the youth in high school and the unemployed to assist with school projects, job searches, typing of CV’s and job skills training.

our partners for their commitment and dedication to the plight of our people by dedicating resources to help in the development of these communities. We hope that this programme will grow and get even more stakeholders on board in order to benefit more communities in need.”
