Guys I fixed mine and here is what you need to do first of all. If you have two coffee filters (the little bowl that you put coffee in that inserts into holder with handle) try if your machine will work with the second filter that you have. The problem can be blocked nozzle in the filter and it will give the same error with two flashing indicators. I replaced flowmeter on mine and didn't fix the problem, after I noticed that after I tried there was plenty of water inside the filter, so the water was coming into it but wasn't going out of it. Changed the filter and all works. By the way upper plate of the machine is held with another two bolts in front, you can see on 0:46 that there are two posts on the front part of the plate , that's where bolts go. They are Philips screw driver kind, accessible through two holes on the front side of the machine.
Yes, those 2 screws have to be taken out before you can take the top off, and for one of them you have to have a Goldilocks screwdriver, not too long, not too short, not too fat and not too skinny! My Delonghi EC860 also has a cup warmer attached to the underside of that top cover, best to just put it in a small plastic bag after unscrewing it from underneath the top cover as it's covered in a heat transfer compound, so don't lick your fingers after handling it and don't forget to unplug the machine before trying to wipe off that white gunk from all the places it still managed to smear itself on. If you managed to give yourself a 240v shock because you forgot to unplug the machine like I did then put the thing away for another day & appreciate the fact that you're still alive, cheers!
Hi, when I want to make a cappuccino with my Delonghi EC850, the stand-by and hot water lights flash simultaneously, and sometimes a little hot water leaks from the bottom? What should I do?
Hi, I think solenoid valve from water steam circuit can be damaged and hot water gets in the condensate pipe and it leaks. I had the similar problem with Delonghi ECAM23.450 and video will be released in 1-2 days. Also I am making some video with Delonghi EC850 but at the moment I am waiting for some spare parts and these videos should come in ~2 weeks.
My coffee machine is also an EC860. There is currently a glitch and the coffee drips very, very slowly. Where I have cleaned so I can, it drips very slowly even without ground coffee. Where is the problem? Is it the water pump? or something else. Thanks!
Hello. thanks for the video. I have the same machine and my problem that milk does not make a foam. water is leaking, steam is coming. Is it also mean the flowmeter should be changed?
I have an EC860 which has a heating top cover so it does not come off like you have it shown here in the video. Can you please advise on how I can remove the top? Thanks.
i didn't know mine had same issue till i read your comment. the found two screws at the front. turn machine upside down and you'll see two holes on either side of the coffee filter holder. these will loosen the cover.
@House&Kitchen I'm having a similar problem sometimes, with the same lights flashing, but no water in the drip tray. Whenever I try to steam milk directly with the wand, it cuts off after 2-3 seconds and the lights flash, then I have to wait and restart the process. Do you think this is also a problem with the flow meter? Thanks!
@@kkkkjkkchordchord2103I got the simpler/smaller Dedica after struggling with this one, but after learning a lot more about how these work, it's either the flowmeter, the steam tap or the temperature probe on the thermal block. All of them are quite cheap fixes and not too difficult if you want to give it a shot.
Hi, I have a Caffé Venezia (ESAM 2200), and water LED is flashing, and no water coming out from the machine, but from the steam/Hot water spout comes the water/steam... What can be the problem?
What does it mean when all lights flash? I have the same problem: I started to froth milk and the steam was coming out in spurts (as opposed to a steady stream). Then no coffee came from outlet. Now the water is going into the tray as you described. I tried the descaling process, water came out of hot water nozzle but still goes into the tray when trying to go through the outlet. Same solution??
Thank you for this video - my EC860 is leaking water and I'm not sure where the leak is. Often find the machine sitting in a puddle. Could you please let me know where I may find the tools to open the machine? The screws aren't standard and I don't know the name of them to be able to purchase it.
I have the same model and the same problem and this video doesn’t really help with dismantling the EC860. After taking off the star bolts on the back, you need to remove the water tank from the front and remove the bolt above that. There is also another bolt on the other side that needs to be removed before you can lift the top up. There’s also a couple of other cable connections that you need to be careful of on the underside of the top before proceeding. We think our leak was coming from the right side, where the milk container/milk frothier attaches, but there didn’t seem to be any way of accessing this area. I think given the age of the unit we may well replace it, probably with something more retro - cheaper to buy and less things to go wrong. 😉
hi Guys Anyone know how to open the device? On the video you can see 2 screws on the back. But it must also have screws or something on the front side. Can someone help??
