Out of the deep I cry unto thee, O Lord!
Lord, hear my voice!
Let thine ears consider
the voice of my complaint.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;

more than watchmen for the morning,

O Israel, hope in the Lord!
