Reportage about the flooding disaster in the village of Borculo.
On 10 August, 1925, an unprecedentedly heavy storm blew across Brabant and Gelderland. Extreme rainfall and tornadoes ravaged these two provinces, resulting in four dead and eighty wounded. The material damage was enormous: houses, farms, windmills, and churches were destroyed. The hardest hit was the town of Borculo. The tornado was at its strongest here, and hurtled straight through the village. In seven minutes, the village was turned into a junkyard. Most of its homes and farms were destroyed, the two churches lost their towers, and three of the four fatalities occurred in Borculo. The film shows the devastation that the tornado caused, the clean-up operation by the military, and disaster tourists who arrived after hearing the news. The film ends with an appeal to the Dutch audience to give generously.

Op 10 augustus 1925 trekt een ongekend zwaar noodweer over Brabant en Gelderland. Extreme regenval en tornado's teisteren de twee provincies. Er vallen vier doden en tachtig gewonden. De materiële schade is enorm; huizen, boerderijen, molens en kerken worden verwoest. Het zwaarst getroffen is het stadje Borculo. De tornado is hier op z'n sterkst en raast dwars door de dorpskern. In zeven minuten veranderde het dorpje in een schroothoop. Drie van de vier dodelijke slachtoffers vallen in Borculo, wat gezien de kracht van de storm als een godswonder wordt beschouwd. De meeste huizen en boerderijen zijn vernield en beide kerken verliezen hun toren. De film toont de verwoesting die de tornado heeft aangericht, de opruimwerkzaamheden door het leger en de vele ramptoeristen die op het nieuws zijn afgekomen. De film eindigt met een oproep aan de Nederlanders om met gulle hand te geven.
