Wow love this. Love the mix of the rough gravelly Ricky's voice with Lorraine's supersoft feminine voice. It's so beautiful. Lorraine has always had such a beautiful voice. ❤
I remember my mate up on the Isle of Arran was playing Raintown one day in 1987. I was mid A-ha & Morten Harket obsessed but they almost got forgotten as I stopped everything to find everything I could on DB & played them over & over again. I was lucky to see them at newcastle Poly (now Northumbria uni) before they got big so there was only approx 50 of us in the audience... I’ve now seen them live 28 times but never got front row until this year... and now I have to wait another year for that long awaited seat - goddam Covid! 😂😂
Rugged Rick & Harmonious Lorraine.. How the hell has this partnership continued when most musicians & partners don't? STUNNING LOVE FOR EACH OTHER. I loved you in the 80's.. lost you till the noughties.. and now regained you in the last few years... Another TOUR PLEASE.. Last year was brilliant, your replication of your music was OUTSTANDING, saw you twice at Leeds and Manchester. Every time I cook in the kitchen, I open a bottle of wine and ALEXA Plays .. Deacon Blue... I EAT & SLEEP WELL. lol.
I recently had a heart attack and needed something to make me smile. I just watched & listened to this and it took me back to a night in October 1999 when I met the band and Ricky dedicated this song to me that night. I’m smiling for the first time in three weeks. Long live dB x
@@naomiaustin Thank you so much. Long recovery ahead but I’ll get there 🙂 They sure can - will forever be my favourite band. They have songs for all times right? Love them! X
Just stunning, superb old track from the best album. Taken on new meaning for me personally today, as I sadly lost my wife to cancer just last month. So thank you! 😢🦋🥰 music is the best medicine
Completely agree. Gregor is amazing but also looks so much like a silver-haired Graeme, so it’s even more poignant. This song was and still is one of my top 3 favourites. It’s just perfect.
So many are struggling! Keep the faith & keep going! The music of Deacon blue has always got me through tough times from being an awkward confused teenager in ‘87 to being an awkward confused middle aged grump now 😂
This could have been written as the soundtrack to the joutney of my life, along with loaded and dignity. Thsnk you Mr Ricky Ross, Lorraine and the band for blessing my ears wirh duch beautiful music that touches my soul given the goosebumps i get when i listen to Deacon Blue. Love you guys.
Beautiful just beautiful , many moons ago I was lucky enough to chat with Chris Rea about when played on the recording of this still very beautiful track. ✌💜☮
Love this Guys THANK YOU SO MUCH... You have had a presence in my life for many years I wish you would release more acoustic type music like this of all our fave oldies... I couldn't imagine Dignity sang in any other style... Much Love and Happy New Year xx
Paradox of confinement: great happiness to listen to the old songs of my youth and the new ones, and sadness at not having taken the time to do so before. Thank you so much for sharing these moments with us.Hoping that your next tour will go through the North East of France or Luxemburg
Thursday November 19th 23:42 in bed listening to one of the greatest bands in the world! I've grown up with you guys and girl! So many memories, thanks! Love you all, stay safe and have a great Christmas XX love from Gorseinon SA44PG
Asking a lot, but, would you do a online gig, just half hour of all the classics, would love a Saturday night with a pint and takeaway watching you lot. See you soon i really hope. Love you guys, your music has meant even more to me this year than ever before.
So.... We all feel better after a bit of DB. Let's share the new messages. The baby that dances to the music. The Mountaineer that it helped get him there. I always feel happier after listening. You should too.
One of my favourites! Beautifully performed. BUT I noticed that Mr Prime's keyboard footage was reversed which was confusing to see the left playing the tops bits and the right hand the bass notes. Or is Jim just SO talented!? 🎹😉
